I was chasing the bouncy feel of a Bakeneko60 in a 65 form factor, and Envoy lives up to this. QK65 is flexible but not flexible enough. For this reason, I prefer the Envoy over the QK65.

That's a tough question NGL, vertex v1 feels easier to bottom out vs smoothies since I prefer a harder bottom out I guess I'd take smoothies over them.

yeah i press it with thumb, i think it is more accurate with your index if you use thumb for space. it's just one's preference at the end of the day

Its more proper with the thumb probably feels more ergonomic too but I'm so used to typing like this that typing differently feels uncomfortable

@@steftzs The QK65 kit comes with a foam kit. Also for pillow Id swap to a blanket for sound; blanket > pillow. You also need deep sounding switches as well. From my experience tape mod makes the board sound louder, higher pitched. I'd swap out your bubble wrap for PE foam between PCB and plate though.

@@Zxykos I can do one without the case foam, but I currently don't have the time to remove the plate foam - IMO plate foam makes the envoy sound more full in all configs I tested PC plate, Aluminum and FR4 Plate

From reviews I've seen the gateron smoothies might need a little tuning in addition to the factorylubing job, whereas KTT Strawberries don't need tuning and are cheaper. Long pole switches are more fun to type on vs non long pole switches though (previously used a quartz switch)

Im placing an order right now for the gateron smoothie switches to do a real comparison - should arrive by May 14th

Hey I just installed the gateron smoothies today and I would say gateron smoothie switches > KTT Strawberry, my smoothies do not need any additional tuning and the lube job is consistent.

I used Vaseline to lubricate all blueswitchs, the sound has reduced a lot and the pressing feeling is great. Still don't understand why people have to spend money to buy separate creams, when common lubricants are so diverse

@@tieuphu8xvn vaseline eats away at plastic overtime, while your switches may be fine now they will not be okay in a couple months.

The included stabs that came with the QK65 kit, I believe they were owllabs stabilizers (screw in stabs).

These are def more quiet clicky switches

Wuque Studio PBT BoW keyset - I've used them everyday for over a year with very minimal shine. (Gaming and Work use) Id say they are amazing value

I think clickies are amazing as well, I was blown away by these melodic switches they sound so nice and feel different vs my other two clickies I’ve had (box whites and box jades)

Na clickies are terrible. These are the best I've heard though

@@cemitech7638 Do you prefer them (Melodics) over box whites? How much stronger is the click over box whites, is it similar to jades?

@@CS-js6et In terms of feeling of of click I would rank them as Box Jade as stronger click than Box white and Gateron Melodics. I prefer the Melodics over box whites feels nicer to type on for essays/work and game on.
