Misfits Snowboarding

Myself, John and mate Paul, have only been snowboarding since January 2018. We're in our late 40s. And with a lot of help from fellow snowboarding pals, Graeme and Steve, this is where we find ourselves. Loving the snow and finding our feet. Proving life can start at 40 and you're never too old to learn something new. So back in January 2018, we went to Scotlands Glencoe Mountain and fell in love with it. And since then been to Tignes, Val d'lsere, Glencoe, Nevis, Cairngorm, Morzine and Avoriaz Here is our journey..... Joining the Misfits is Liam Ben the Skier and Matt. The crew is getting bigger every season.
Switzerland is a mogul field
So in this one, we're in Switzerland Champery, I believe, and its big massive runs stunning scenery are breath taking. But as a 40+ snowboarder its hell on those hills left behind by skiing. A little more piste bashing wouldn't hurt anyone. Who else hates Moguls? As a snowboarder obviously as skiers love them

So in this one, we're in Champery Switzerland. Not gunna to lie, it's good but could do with being groomed more often. As you can see from the video, we make do with what we have. But what a beautiful place to be snowboarding

So, in this one, we're just messing about aa always. All over 40 but acting like teenagers. Paul's filming and having a great time of it. Can we say Switzerland piste conditions aren't the same as Frances?. France definitely seem to piste bash more often than Switzerland

So, in this one, we're just cruising around the French alps. There is nothing better than just having fun with your buddies. Stu has a mare getting on the chair lift. We've all done it. Steve suffers a crash that gives him his 2nd knocked out crash of the trip. Good job he wears a helmet.

So in this one, I'm all alone doing laps on my tod. Why, well, I'm the oldest of the group at 49, and I'm putting the boys to shame. Leaving them resting in the pub. Bless em. So it's just me toying with the camera with different camera angles. What do you think of the footage?. And take the piss out the other Misfits, slumming it in a pub on a glorious day in the comments

So in this one, it looks like I give him nothing but grief, but he is the youngest of the group, and he deserves it, lol. No, in all honesty, Liam is doing really well considering his time on the slopes and its constructive criticism I give him. At least his bindings are on correctly now
Dropping his board from the chair lift

So, in this one, Jay drops his board from the chairlift. He is adamant that it's down to me bit im innocent and he is just unfortunate. Poor Matt had to collect the board and got grief from fellow boarders on the chair lift for the trouble, lol. Also Liam has been riding for 3 days with his bindings on the wrong foot ffs.

He doesn't look like it here, but Paul is riddled with arthritis and other chronic pain issues, but that doesn't stop the 47-year-old. Been snowboarding now for 60 odd days now. And finds the energy to go lap after lap. We don't get enough time on snow. Living in the uk sucks for snowboarding due to our position. So we make the most of our time

It’s good to see people having fun, looks like a much different experience than snowboarding here in Utah, we take snowboarding kinda serious because we’re trying to shred as much pow as possible and do it as many days in a row as possible, we don’t ride in big groups cause if you can’t keep up we leave people behind simply because that means more fresh pow for us, seems cutthroat but there’s nothing better than first tracks on a pow day.

Stu's fail on the lift had me
I thought I should sound off in this age group; since I'm a definite part of the age group! Slowing down is not a bad thing stopping would be hell to me. Our channel is done by myself turning 80 this November and Ted my co assistant is early 70sh. Our goal is to help all age riders enjoy the freedom of shredding from the fact finding we have encountered over our riding life times so far, never say quit. We don't profess any certain riding style just how do each of you use your body to have fun? Hope to run into some of you in the seasons ahead however long that is: only the good Lord Knows!

The reason why that video did well was because the title resonated with alot of older fellas, so they clicked it instantly when it popped up on their recommended. Just take note of your best viewed ones and try to do something similar.
