The rifle has been in use for a couple of weeks now and the performance is as expected. I was able to get 916fps from the 18-inch barrel and that is already more than enough for my needs. Fabricating the parts needed for the air pressure regulator. The ideal material is stainless steel (for longevity) but that material is so difficult for me and my available equipment & tooling so I settled on 6061-T6 aluminum. If the aluminum wears out on me then I can live with that.

I am pleased with this new design. Some of the older wooden parts were used here because it is a modular concept: Discard what is no longer needed and make new parts as required.

Checking for hole placement and they all seem to line up nicely.

Here I show the front part of the receiver, the valve & how it operates, valve stopper, plenum. I also fabricated the valve on the lathe. Notice that this is a pressure-assisted valve and it requires less force to open. There's also a means to adjust the valve stop and thereby increase or decrease pellet velocity. I needed to cut a 60-deg thread that has a 1mm fine pitch. Here is one way on how to make a toolbit for it. The lathe bed & chuck were later covered to grind some more toolbits.
