Old Tub from Jim Beam. The original style of Jim. Bottle in bond non chilled filtered for $20. Pretty overlooked for a great bottle

gonna go ahead and give it a try my usual favourite whisky is jack Daniel's single barrel gold label usally round 80 a bottle here in Tennessee but its 129.5 proof its amazing whisky

The problem is it’s not really B tier, and not really a daily sipper IMO based on flavor profile.

Most of us can’t afford $100 120 proof bourbons.

I picked it up for $20 here in Arkansas.

Nice! That one is a hard to find, we see the other offerings pretty often. Not a bad buy when it usually around $90. We did an episode a few years back on terrior in whiskey! Sounds tasty! Hopefully we can find a bottle.

I feel your pain as my wife is not a whiskey fan either. Have you tried making her cocktails or an old fashioned? Maybe look to find flavors that are adjacent to what she prefers and start there.

Got the rye just sitting on the counter in VA for $99. Was pretty good but i dont think it justified the price for a six year. Sells on the HH label of course

It gets sweeter the more you let it open up. Get some awesome citrus notes with it as well. It's a Hugh value

Hope you get a chance to snag a Old Overholt 10yr Cask Strength. I wouldn't pay over MSRP, but its a great rye. Think it goes for $95 which fits the $10 a year bill.

I like this very much. I found that letting it sit 5-10 minutes let it open up and get sweeter. It gives Sagamore Double Oaked a run to me, though it's not quite on par with it, so for half the price, it's a great value. I read that Beam released this in 2020 for the Overholt distillery's 210th anniversary but haven't confirmed that it's more than just a one-year release. I found it at a store you've reviewed (twice I believe), Angel's Share in Crofton. I went back and grabbed a second bottle just in case.

I feel the same. It's an enjoyable bottle for the price. I was able to get it and old tub for 12.99 each. I'm not sure if the store just had them price wrong or if they were just on a 50% off and I didn't notice.

Just snagged the JD SB Barrel Proof at 134 for $63 bones. It's very good I'm on the hunt for the RYE.

Its 1.75 liters not 1.5. Some people just call it a half gallon (or a handle) because its approximately a half gallon.

I've heard the Bomberger's is better than the Shenk's this year. They apparently added a different malt to the Shenk's and completely changed the profile from the last few years. I love the 2019 Shenk's and I have the 2023 Shenk's. Haven't opened the 2023 but heard that it's the same profile as the 2019. I'd love to find that 10 Year Michter's for sure!

I'm not sure what was in your bottle, but it wasn't E.W. BIB. I have 2 bottles and opened one of them last night. Pretty tasty.

Oak and eden does some great things imo. Not for thr whiskey purists but the flavors they create with their approach is great at times.

Amazing bottle especially for the price range

Its one of those fruit cocktail cups, with that creamy-spice thing they mentioned on the label. A good pour for nights you don't want to get slapped with high proof, or a warm-up for when you do.
