Scallop/Lobster dive off Beverly, MA with Wendy
Wendy and I overcame some seriously ripping current and poor boat placement (on my part) to harvest scallops and then we did a relaxing lobster dive which I decided to not bring the GoPro for. It ended up being beautiful, we saw many Lobzillas and both got lobster.

Jeb was nice enough to invite me along on his boat to dive two spots that were new to me. The first spot had stunning bare rock formations, lots of urchins, and many lobsters of all sizes. The second spot had just as many lobsters without those pesky urchins. We both were able to harvest some quality bugs during a perfect day.

A really fun day targeting bonito on the south Cape with my father. We were lucky enough to find some active feeds of hungry fish before the wind really came up and we got off the water.
Lobster diving in fantastic conditions off Cape Ann Massachusetts

Stellar conditions above and below the water with lots of sealife and lobsters. We did three dives at two different spots. The first one was a little weedy but we found some big, legal lobsters. The second and third dives had beautiful rock formations, lots of legal lobsters to measure, and the best part: we finally had some water above 43°!!! The water was 51-55° which was downright tropical.

While diving for lobsters, I came across these two fighting. They were so focused on each other that they never noticed me until I grabbed one. She was a notched female so I let her go and carefully grabbed the other one who turned out to be a legal male. Into the catch bag he went!
Foggy, rainy, rewarding lobster dive off the South coast of MA

Flat seas, calm winds, and heavy fog made for a slow boat ride to the site. Once there, we found viz of about 5-10' underwater. The lobsters were hiding well, but we got 15 between us. Overall, it was a great day with a great buddy!
Fun way to get our sea scallop limits off the coast of Massachusetts

Matt and I did a scallop dive, a lobster dive, and finally another shorter scallop dive in a shallower area to get our limits. It worked out and so did the new scallop bag puller. So much easier than the way we used to do it.

A buddy and I did a lobster/scallop combo trip off my boat. We launched at Winter Island in Salem, MA and went off an island for lobsters then a long run to the scallop spot. Viz was great (20') but the water was very cold for July (43°). We both ended up with a great haul and good memories.

Wrong aspect ratio, no music, way too long...I know. I uploaded this version so that it included all the footage of my buddy on the trip (my nephew Winslow). Enjoy it but please don't bother telling me how to improve it. I am well aware :) I will be posting a shorter, improved version later.
Diving for scallops off Beverly/Salem, Massachusetts

We had perfect weather and very good visibility underwater that allowed us to harvest some sea scallops. I also managed to get two legal lobsters and we saw many more undersized walking around. Overall, a tremendous day of diving! As usual: I'm a terrible cameraman, had the wrong settings on the GoPro and my editing skills are at the preschool level blah blah blah :)

The viz was terrible and I put us on the wrong parts but we eventually found slightly better viz and less weeds. Ended up with seven lobsters and released many barely oversized and barely undersized.

You wouldn't know it from the quality of the video but we had over 30' of visibility and there were lobsters of all sizes everywhere. Two buddies and I each got plenty and left some for next time.

MA residents are allowed 1 gallon of shucked scallops per person per day without a license.

No. I don't ever dive in NH.

Caught my first one ever last year in the Cape fishing out of South Yarmouth. Before that I hadn't seen one since about 20 years ago. Beautiful fish and fun to handle.

I don't know about you guys but spearfishing is definetly somthing that I want to to try. I am already a diver but would like try it. I would have tried to get that flounder that drifted into view at 1:07
