Metal shows are nothing compared to EDM as far as nightmares go for guys working the barrier. Metal crowds are mostly polite, and the assholes are too drunk to put up a real fight. EDM crowds are equal parts girlfriends passing out from eating all the pills, and coked up boyfriends wanting to kill you for helping their girlfriends not die, because don't touch my girl.

Maybe he does go to local shows in venues like on a regular basis. Does that mean he can't wish Refused were playing a smaller venue as well?

Thanks for the tip, but I'm well aware of that and have been supporting DIY hardcore for a long time. But Refused is also one of my favorite bands. Last time I saw them was in front of about 10 people in a dive in Atlanta. They broke up the next day. So I will definitely be seeing them in July as well as Bane, Terror, Rotting Out and Naysayer about two weeks before that.
