I remember hearing this on the Mark Radcliffe show back in the 90's. I actually really like this track, in a Syd Barrett solo album sort of way, even if Mick's singing goes from "outsider musician" to suspiciously good with a bit of Paul Roland thrown in.

As an audiophile, this is kinda accurate. 1. Wants a grammerphone, seller mock them. 2.couldve said a hifi turntable. Obvious bias and buzz words added for appeal. 0:30 digital signal compared to analog. Analog is more true to older sound, but - 0:46 mocks the person for using an older median thats arguably better. Shows bias and lack if experience. 0:50 mocks him directly, buyers seems aware but ignores them. 0:59 was mean-spirited to do this. Wasnt needed. 3. 1:07 why ask this?! You should have an amplifier or phono amp regardless. If he they wanted to help, they should have asked if he has an suitable amp, but the sellers are being assholes. 4. 1:17 wasnt needed, output can be be mono, stereo, phono or even speaker outputs. They are basically mocking him again. 5. 1:28, you should know as the seller what they need, but never asked about his preferences or even his preferred setup. 1:36 shows he doesnt know what he needs. 5 watts is kinda accurate as if his turntable is playing normally, it should least have 5 to 20w speakers. A 20w amplifier is novice, but fair from bad. 1:42 pisses me off, encapsulated the snobbery of audiophiles even today. Of course they'd want speakers but you shouldn't assume they dont have a speaker. a rumble filter will help, but is seen as snake oil an equalizer could do. A bag over your head is implying he's a sucker. 2:00 a speaker should have this already, jackass.... ih least he mentioned that. More accurate to todays audiophiles then back then. 8/10

That's a cool £500, 000 for the highest top-end. I spent about £2,000 on a completely wireless, Multiroom system that's expandable and future proof and very happy with the quality. Although, if I won the lottery I would buy the above, Mckintosh, Naim, Fabius, and the list goes on. ..heh

Just reminds me of Dad shaking with laughter . He loved the Q series and the Running Jumping and Standing Still Show.He bought me all the books and I still treasure them. I always think they'll be having a good laugh up there.
