Everyone talking about taking shits. The better way to do that is fried battered Hooters buffalo wings dipped in ranch. That will keep you regular 6 times a day and far superior to Oats.

My brother has been very blessed to have her for his wife as she cooks his dinners. They make me kinda envious. Yet it’d be nice if she were a vegetarian vs. meat eater. Oats are good -but how you eat them is as important. Some of your suggestions had sugar/honey or butter added. Not good. Not good at all. Don't cook them, have them raw when possible -is one of the few foods that are nutritionally better raw.

I add steel cut oats to a food flask with hot milk, leave it overnight, and it is ready to eat in the morning. No pot stirring for half an hour and it is delicious. I also sometimes add chia or ground flax seeds.

Being on a diuretic which flushes potassium out of the body, I need 8000 mg potassium per day to prevent leg and feet cramps at night... I supplement with 4/1000 mg tablets of potassium citrate as well as eat potatoes, Swiss chard, bananas, and 6 cups of V8 juice per day... Low potassium is a big problem!
