UGHHH NO FAIRRR HAPPY BDAY THOO
Thank you!!
Dude this is crazy sick! Just the organized wiring and how detailed you're doing it all
I appreciate that man! Just picking away at it 👍🏻
Quit stinking thinking Get your ass to work
Wow you really did some work 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly pumped for you! This is coming out sick
I appreciate it, I’m having a lot of fun doing it as well
It's coming along really good! You're probably getting the extreme heat & humidity like we are which is hampering me getting my ceiling done lol. I did get my roof vent in and installed the rigid foam board on the walls. It's nice when you can add some framework to actually see where things are going!
Yes we are 100% getting that heat haha I’ve been sitting in that van just baking but getting things done, I have to order my roof vent and windows so I can get the ceiling and walls buttoned up but I’m not rushing it it’s been a lot of fun!
@@NE_Overlanding Same here - the heat is bad enough, but shortly after starting some work, I'm soaked with sweat. I have a 12v fridge from my jeep that I plug into the van's 12v power outlet and that is filled with water. I'll go through 3-4 bottles easily trying to stay hydrated, but like you, I'm not rushing things. If I make some progress, even a little, that's good for me!
Yeah I might have to grab a small fan or something just to keep the air flowing while I work on it
I had to repair a few like that over the years
Happens to the best of us haha
No those 3M over time will come off. Let alone, you are mounting it on the metal surface which on the other side exposed to heat and cold: they will come off.
I have a couple of these in a couple spots on my semi truck. In the summer they melt and come right off. Beware of the heat.
3M = contracted out to the cheapest third world supplier, all profits to H.O. 😊
Curious how well that will hold. I’ve had nothing but issues with anything adhesive in my pickup truck with a fiberglass cap.
They seem really solid, but it’s getting a wood ceiling anyway so if they do end up letting go they’ll all be hidden above the ceiling and can’t really go to far
@@NE_Overlandingah. Well there ya go.
ProTip: build wire looms/harnesses and tie them to the structure beams with either zip-ties or screw in clips. those stick--on clips will fall off in a week or 2, faster in the heat.
When doing 12 V wiring in an automotive application. You do not need to run a groundwire. You can use chassie ground.
The adhesive will melt in the heat. You're better off using magnet mounts. Also you need to put them in a loom. As is they will vibrate and reduce.
The adhesive on those clips do not last long…
I recommend some sleeving or thick ruggedly insulated wires
If the roof gets hot in the summer all those clips will fall off. Happened to me before.
Replying to all the comments I got about what clips I’m using to hold my wiring up, and how it’s ok
Hell that’ll go miles kid
Glad u found a solution!
Awsome!
This can expand so much that it literally bends the paneling on the outside. Use the low-expanding foam!!
It wasn’t sprayed into anywhere that it didn’t have a place to expand other than pushing panels out, just some spots that o wouldn’t be able to get foam board into
Why don't you just buy the sheet foam and trim it to fit. Beats having to shave .
if you look, I actually did both, the spray foam was just for the small gaps
this stuff is wonderful, my deadbeat brother got upset about the family summer home so he went there when nobody was there and put that foam in all the sewer lines and the hot water heater. we called the foam company to see if there was any thing we could and they wouldn't even talk to us
oh my, a plumber's nightmare.
Pro tip, use the blue window and door formula for better results!
noted! honestly wasn't sure which would be best, but I use this one specifically a lot at work, so I figured I'd go with the one that I know but thank you!
Hell yeah!
picking away at it!
Can’t wait to see how this build turns out!!
One day at a time!
Hey man, I have an '08 with a crappy bed build (some grandpa made) can't wait to gut it & build MY own interior. Gonna follow along with you & see how you build 👍 Do you follow any Vanlife guys? I suggest three channels VanlifePLUS VANCITY VANLIFE Foresty Forest All these guys built their vans & I think Foresty Forest did his in the Home Depot parking lot as he bunked in it in a cott 😄
It’s going to be a really fun build, I do not follow them but I’ll have to check them out for some ideas for sure! I appreciate the support!
Get a barrel for your bit 😂
I couldn’t find one in my toolbox, my brother came home found it immediately 😂
The start of the stabbin cabin
heck yeah
Thank you!
I need gas $$
Good luck! I recently bought a 2021 chevy express 2500 and I'm doing the exact same thing. About 40 years ago lol, I converted a Ford Econoline that I bought in Vermont. And now, I'm back at it again, wanting to hit the road - but first - I need to continue my work on it. I've been posting videos on my CZcams channel as well and it's a slow process, but I'll get there! Take care!
Enjoy the process! I’ll be keeping an eye on your build maybe we will have so ideas to share for eachother, I just picked up the lumber to start framing the bed frame and what not so the next video should be going up this weekend!
@@NE_Overlanding I have a special finance offer from Home Depot that expires at the end of this month lol - guess I better go get my butt there & get lumber too. I just laid out my rubber cargo mat today to try and make a template for the floor. I'm going to use 1/2" rigid foam topped with plywood. But the lumber purchase is also going to include cedar planks for the ceiling, thicker rigid foam for the walls and furring strips for something to fasten to.
@@ADKOverlandNY those can be dangerous haha, but that’s an awesome plan you got laid out there man can’t wait to see it come to life!
@@NE_Overlanding thanks - same with your build. Everything is about sprinters, transit connects, etc. Hard to find videos on the GMC Savana or Chevy Express builds.
@@ADKOverlandNY yeah I went for the gm van due to how easy they are to find parts for/repair if something were to happen on a long road trip in the middle of nowhere
Hell yeah brother
🤘🏻
Never let the truth interfere with a lie
So mic love the content
Thank you!
Delicious!
Lmao over kill for a bbq
Never enough
LFG
Fire pit not a fire place lol.... pretty nice one tho, I used river rock to build mine..
Yeah we had a lot of the flat rocks around and needed something to do with them
Make sure to check out the long form video on my channel!
Put solar panels on it maybe
That’s one of my plans! I have a long format video on what I plan on doing to it if you’d like to check it out!
@@NE_Overlanding niice. I'll check it out
Awesome!
This is amazing can’t wait for your progress!
Thank you!
This is gonna be a fun project
I can’t wait

Such a nice place
Thinking of making it the first trip of the year every season
I grew up in Nottingham, such a beautiful small quiet area
It really is! You feel far enough away to relax but everything is right there if you need it
