Yep, almost got out of the state without running into the PoPo. Did the online defensive driving course and no record of it ever happening.
How much does the tracking device cost that they require riders to get?
Its been 2+ years since i purchased mine so I dont remember exactly but I want to say around $125.00.

Appreciate the support. Yes,, it is a great camera. The editing is kind of hard sometimes. I also wish I had more time to edit all the videos I have on my backlog. There are just not enough hours in the day. That and work have me swamped all the time.

Betty was a great bike I purchased a 22 Road Glide Limited and still have her. Another great ride. I use a Insta360 One X2 mounted on a Insta360 Invisible stick on my handlebars. Thanks for watching. I didn’t finish the 22 Hokahey but plan to ride again this year.

A 1000 Mile Saddle Sore or the 3100 mile Ride Around Texas? I'll ride with you too. I live just south of Houston but I don't mind starting elsewhere. I'm retired and the USA is my local riding area.

Wow thats awesome, how old was he when he did this jump? Looks like one of the oldest jumpers ever. Makes me have hope that I can still maybe do a jump one day. ha.
Not sure how old he was but he did have a broken hand when doing these jumps.

Doing my 1st Hop's Rally next week. Trying to pick up info from past riders so I can have an idea of what to expect. The comment about mandatory rest periods has me a little more at ease. I've done a few distance rides and had little issue. What camera are you using? Is that an Insta360? If so what Model, X2, X3?? I have been looking into those.

It’s a great rally to learn from. Hop will send out the rally info a couple of days ahead of the launch. Other rallies you get the info the morning of the launch. Have fun

Not a problem, really enjoyed the show. I understand he had a broken hand at the time of the jump.
Did my 1st SS 2003. After a few more different rides, did a couple with groups. For me I won't do those rides with smokers. A 6 minute gas stop will turn into a 20 minute smoke break. No thank you.
It’s tough doing a group iba ride. Doing one by yourself is one thing but with a group a whole other realm of issues. Thanks for watching the video.
I have two riding buddies that smoke. One lifts his visor and smokes while he is riding and the other just takes a drag or two at a stop and then quickly puts it out... but I know what you mean. I do schedule at least one long stop on the rides that I plan because even non-smokers need to do more than just get fuel at a least one stop.

Congratulations! Great progress! You might find that your legs do better when riding long days if you walk for an hour either first thing in the morning or in the middle of the day. I know it's inconvenient on a ride like the Hoka Hey, but you might find that it makes a huge difference. Keep up the good work.

no doubt someone named SugarBear would go with a madstad. C’mon, you gonna stop on the side of the road and adjust that windshield and the re-adjust when the wind blows differently? All you really need is a proper height windshield. Hey but now you get to buy more cute stickers for the madstad.
Well everyone has their own opinion. So far I find it better than the stock, which was too short and yes I purchased the next size up from HD to find it was too tall. This one allow me to set it to my height and also to how Im riding that day. I use a Kickbutt seat pad plus a sheep skin on long days and just a sheep skin on riding around Houston. It take 2 seconds to readjust once you find where you need it. It also allows for some wind to pass through and keep me cooler. I just wish HD would listen to their customers and provide a adjustable wind screen as standard on the big touring bikes. Again just my opinion.
How much adjustment travel is there for height?

Oil change at Black Hills HD before starting/ another at Rawhide HD in KC/ Tire change in Las Vegas on my way to Houston.

It was a beautiful day for a ride and it's hard to finish a group iron butt ride. It was great to finish with everyone we started with. Congratulations to all the riders.

I tried an iron butt last July returning to MN from Alaska. I made it 917 miles before I ran out of daylight. I stopped there because after investigating crashes for 30 years as a state trooper, I refuse to ride motorcycle in the dark. I will try again this summer.

Did they change the rules to allow the intercom?
Far as I know there has never been a rule about using a communication device to talk with other riders. Just not use it with your gps for turn notification. I use mine to control my camera verbally and to listen to music and to talk with other riders that are on open mesh.
