Could you imagine a world where we are restricted to only wear clothing from our own culture or immediate environment? We were put into boxes because our ethnicity is our entire identity? How could someone on the other side of the world support a random Roma in a village just because they want to wear a long skirt? A little absurd don’t you think?

Nah. Sorry. I disagree. Culture is meant to be shared and cherished. We really need to allow people to celebrate our differences with us, not gate keep them. Now im not saying you shouldn’t proceed with respect and reverence, you absolutely should. But you have to let people in, in order for them to understand and value something the way you do. If you “close” it off, you are just perpetuating further divisiveness and the likelihood that people will fight to protect what is “yours” with you is low bc they havent been taught to care about it or shown why it is so special. In fact they might even just resent you more bc that is just how human defensiveness and rejection sensitivity works. Just my opinion so take it or dont, but i really feel in my heart that culture is meant to be respectfully shared guys. We gotta learn and understand each other. Not be exclusive in the ways we were once excluded. Just perpetuates more of the same tbh. We were ALL ONE CELL in the sea. Our phenotypes are merely just a reflection of the environment we were born into. Nothing more. It is unfortunate that so much pain has been caused to people of certain phenotypes for literally no reason beyond their appearance.
