Man… Heart of Fire is really something else. For years my favorite vgm has been from Castlevania II but this song is so dramatic. I think it’s about to take the number one spot.

Only negative feedback...the end scene, you just played the title theme, the end theme has a different song playing. I mean, same song, but it's different with octaves and a brighter note.

I'm less familiar with the music in the latter half of Castlevania 3 because I never got that far in the game LOL. One path ended at "Rising" (Curse Castle) and another at "Nightmare" (The Abandoned Mines) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Excellent work! My personal favourite must be the Mist part, it captures the somewhat mysterious mood of the original really well 🙂

I like the original from the nes game better. It sounds more fluid than this.

only 415 likes? This is gold! I'd love to hear a couple of these on a MM re-release. Like if they did the Complete works completely and gave the other levels the remixed music.

They always want to do it "in ascending order". Either with toys, soundtracks, remakes.. And they end up doing only megaman 1 which is absolutely no epitome of a good game and the better ones are left out waiting. Same goes for toys, etc. Why making megaman 1?? Is not even good

Climbing the Haligtree in Elden Ring today and was astonished at how closely it resembled what a modern 3D remake of Faxanadu could be like. Something I've longed for my whole life. I couldn't resist, I had to put on the Faxanadu soundtrack to play in the background. As soon as the music started playing, I was there, picking through the upper branches of the World Tree on my way to retrieve the Dragonslayer. Thanks for making the dream possible!

Great remixes! As someone who bought Castlevania 3 when it originally released, I'll say my favorite songs are Clockwork, Rising, and Deadbeat.

Best Castlevania game until Symphony of the Night. The only way to get the "GOOD" ending was to get through the Dracula fight without taking ANY damage! It took me forever to get that ending.

Faxanadu was the perfect answer to (Zelda 2/Simon's Quest) with its fair difficulty, very interesting world with an incredible variety of enemies, cozy towns to creepy dungeons (within dungeons). Part of my all time favourites titles!

Why? Why would you start with the opening corridor theme when the opening them beautifully leads into (albeit a slower version of) that same track.

First game I ever beat as a kid. The music is iconic and original. Hearing it in orchestra is a beautiful piece.

This is great, and I'm loving this whole channel. Too many video game music covers and remixes bury the melody under a ton of overproduction, but this brings it out into the foreground. I also really appreciate the extra effort to match the vibe of the tune's context, like snares and brass here to capture the military spirit.

I love this game...but it's a hard one, too.

Faxanadu has been one of my favourite nes games since I was a kid. The music along with the footage is really great. It really sounds like a real updated soundtrack for the game. Would be perfect for an upscaled remaster of the game.

This is incredibly well-made. Beyond the music itself, which is quite enthralling, the use of appropriate game footage basically turns this video into a movie. Really, good job.
