About the sump drain plug, a good old real money 13/16" socket fits just right. I've just come in from doing this and I assumed the filter went on first to engage that peg and that the body screws down on it to engage ok - hope I'm right 'cos I ain't taking it all off again! I ha to also tie back the smaller hose above the filter body and luckily had a 27mm socket because the whole body is plastic so attempts with anything other than a snug socket tends to bugger up the soft hex which is also part of the body. I also unnecessarily took off the big underside plastic panel because someone said you had to, should have looked closer first and seen the sump plug.

hi, i removed the nut covered by the orange tape, after reconnecting it the car wont start and the lights wont come on, if that just a blown fuse or have I done something to the computer? many thanks

Fuse box seperates from the battery surround box and U remove each one separately

This is the wrong way to do this and can damage the fuse box. The orange tape is there for a reason

Check the 508 user manual in German, page 259, if you won't break off any clips. You have to remove the clip on the top (7) and the clip on the left (8) and push the cable unit (9) away, before you lose all the other clips of the cover (10). It is not necessary to unscrew the sealed nut btw. As you can see the top clip (7) broke off in the video. Same happened to me because I didn't follow the user manual instructions first.

How do you "just start ignition" without starting the engine? Gear lever on N and Start/Stop button? Can you please clarify?

I have a problem with same car. When im driving and realese throtle (gas pedal) car jerks onece or twice and then it goes with normal engine breaking. I have allready changed all engine and gearbox mounts and dual mass flywhell with clutch and realese bearing. All other on car is in perfect contition DPF is new, and injectors are like new.

The fannying around twisting the piston with pliers is no good, get yourself a proper windback kit. You'd have it done in half the time. Good effort though at least showing that is capable without the windback tool. You should've at least removed the caliper carrier too, to grease up.
