On a warm Sunday afternoon, a jaunt over to a long-time Orange, California family business was the order of the day. Myself along with Carlos Ramirez and Tanya Smith, took in the lovely plants, statuary, and bubbling fountains at M&M NURSERY located at 380 North Tustin Avenue. Opened in 1956 by the Mayeda and Maye (M&M) families, it is now operated by Ted and Dale, who are brother and sister and also children of the original owners, Masami and Sumi Mayeda.

Big fun. ($4.00 per lb. or $3.50 per lb. if buying more than 10 lbs.)

I worked at a couple of these orchards and one year someone actually saw a bear at one of the orchards and ran up to pet it thinking it was a "farm bear" like the owners of the orchard had a pet bear roaming the orchards. I was working at this orchard specifically when you were there and it was one of mt favorite ones to work at as it is so beautiful out there. I've been here at night and can confirm it is very spooky/creepy.
