Thanks, I’m quite happy with the setup. Took it on a three day bow fishing trip downriver. The canoe can go places other boats can’t while bearing a much greater load than a kayak. I added a second battery and was able two do 15 miles on the 3rd speed setting carrying roughly 575lbs including myself and company.
@@benjaminjohnson1695 that's impressive I wished I could have been there. A canoe is the oldest boat design on record. I have a few my favorite one is an old square stern built in 1968. Have fun and be careful.

I appreciate you posting this video. I'm looking to do a similar setup as buying a larger boat with a gas engine is just out of the question for my budget. My biggest concern is battery and run time. I will be using a 12 or 14 foot canoe at the absolute biggest. I am looking however to be able to cover some serious ground. I have been considering a 55 lb thrust motor and running the largest marine deep cycle battery I can get my hands on. Looking for advice on what kind of distance/runtimes I may be able to get. Any advice is appreciated.
There are two ways to find out. Math, and trial. I prefer the latter. I’ve been getting 6 miles at 3.5mph out of my 80 amp hr battery before a noticeable performance drop. If your the calculating type you’ll need to find out how many amp hours the motor draws. (1/2 battery amp hrs) / motor amp hrs = Runtime in hrs roughly. Another factor to consider is heat. Trolling motors aren’t engineered with long runtimes at maximum speed in mind. My Minkotas’ voltage control switch melts eventually so I’ve been replacing it seasonally ($15 Amazon) might be plausible to solder a heat sink in somewhere but I haven’t gotten around to trying. PS… several smaller battery’s wired in parallel will be easier to carry down the bank than one huge one!

Approximately 10 - 3 mile trips traveled on maximum speed setting and endura C2 suffered heat related failure in the ground post of the rotating speed switch. Insulation compromised on several inches of ground wire. Equipment was easily repaired with a $15 replacement switch - However, Considering more reliable voltage control options…
It's interesting that the scraper effectively removes the wallpaper with a pushing motion. I have always used those scrapers with a pulling motion. I'll have to try your method, as I spend a lot of time unclogging with my method.
