I don't know what to do with it. I finally own a house now with a garage and have tool chests. A fantastic video and I'm ready to go ahead and have a swing at fixing my Rover

Saved me a lot of time, I was about to remove my seat on the rear passenger side on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado. Got my seat to go down within a couple of minutes. Took more time to find my tools. Dropped the seat in about 1 or 2 minutes. Thank you for sharing.

Amazing series! Thanks you. Getting ready to do bottom end assembly and I am wondering if connecting rods for the 4.7 are specific to each cylinder? I have new pistons, new rings, new WPC treated rod bearings and plan on checking clearances with plastiguage. Thanks in advance. J.R.

Bolt head is obscured /covered by the3 socket Tough to see :-) inwhile Torquing . AND the torquing needs be done as one long continuous sweep/pull. NO Cigar for this method I'm afraid.

Each car is different for axle stand support. Great point. It would be useful to acquire knowledge on your particular vehicle's chassis & suspension design. Maybe the baseline is to get your stands under the GUARANTEED JACKING POINTS for tire changes. Then it would be quick to use a trolley jack - but you still would need to check WHERE to pump the jack elsewhere. What a shame nobody seems to have invented a quality jackable axle stand.

Could have done a coolant flush at the time.

Thank u for video, but 5:15 had to do mine differently. Had to leave all 3 wires on , and just move distribution box to the side. Still got the job done and saved time.

14:11 My first set of jack stands is 6 tons. Because my driveway is on a slight slope. I'm glad I did this. For two reasons, where the car will rest and the base is wider. However, I wish I knew about the creating a platform sooner. 😅

I personally have bought a tie rod end, set of wheel bearings and hubs, a number of ball joints, brake shoes and pads, knuckle assemblys. Thus far everything has come on time and in good condition, never had to return anything.

No need to remove all the cables just remove the whole panel itself

I have been buying from Rock Auto for years. I save a lot of money. Have never had a problem with part quality. Unlike Autozone, where I have overpaid for junk parts that had to be returned.

I've had food luck with Rockauto. I get the option to pick what I want in a part. Just know your part and what your ordering. Pay attention to sizes if you're a newby. Double check before ordering.

Don't get the cheapest off.. and check the parts before you install... Come on now

I've gotten used or broken parts put in the box. You get a terrible run around for a refund. They actually put someone elses used parts back in the box, seal it, and ship it to you.

I’m done with rock auto. Was a lifelong customer until today. I made a typo on the shipping address, missed a digit. FedEx refused to correct the error due to rock auto policy. Rock auto refused to call and correct, said it’s their policy. I have a customer with a camper broke down on the other side of the country. They are in a motel while the camper is in the shop. I paid for expedited shipping for this reason. They’re basically telling my customer to pound sand, they’ll do nothing for us over a mere typo, to have the parts released or held for pickup. They said the parts must be returned and I must place a new order. Throwing all of my rock auto magnets in the garbage. I was a life long customer. No more. They’re dead to me.

Harbor freight warranty’s with no questions asked and cost a third or less than a third of the snap on prices so even if it’s not as good or whatever you always get a new one

Few months back I got a couple of them when Tacklife was selling them $5 a piece, free shipping on eBay. I'm still on my first one and I use it on a near daily basis. Exceeded my expectations as well.

I have bought parts from rock Auto for over 10 years and never have I received a damaged part, I have never had a problem getting my parts, they have supplied my business with great parts and great service. I think you have poor ordering abilities and you just want to bash on them because of your short fall !

i’ve bought tens of thousands of dollars of parts from them. They once sold me a kit with missing parts and refused to send a refund or replacement, even after sending a receipt of the part i had to buy. Second time, sent me a used DIRTY alternator. Got no response or refund, had to open up a paypal dispute and now they banned me from rockauto. Pathetic..

One bad part out of all those and you suggest to avoid all together? Ive received used returned parts from AutoZone, O'Reilly's etc. snd a cpl instances there were no others in their stock and had to wait or travel... It just happens and sucks.

Wow wild to see mixed comments on the matter! I use RockAuto almost exclusively since it’s a bit cheaper and hard to source parts can normally be listed in the site. I don’t think RA sells their own brand of parts. They are just an interface to buy parts from multiple manufacturers. I like WVE brand myself, otherwise I’ll try to go with motorcraft if not too expensive. If possible call out the manufacturer so we know what brand to stay away from when searching around on RockAuto. I’ve heard Moog’s quality has declined over the years so it’s best to stay away from buying those parts. SMP seems okay, though others advise to avoid the “T” lineup. Dorman, AC Delco, KYB, Raybesto, and more as they give you access to over 300 manufacturers parts. No customer service is a bit frustrating but the returns process has always been simple and smooth so far. Take your time and carefully review the parts you are looking at.

I love Rock Auto. Never had any problems with the parts or service. Been buying from them over 12 years. Will continue to do so

I've bought alot of parts from Rock Auto. Never had an issue. Maybe you should have inspected all the parts before you tore your truck down. With any online site you should inspect parts before a tear down.

I have never hD any issues w them, rotors, calipers, manifold exhaust, cat converter..never any issue, steer linksnfeenpthernl things.

I've never had excessive wait times for my parts. I find that their shipping prices and selection are unbeatable. However I have had some fitment issues, and not from ordering the wrong part. Their return process can be frustrating as there is no phone number to talk to anyone. That being said I will still use them. I always stick to certain brands, ie Delphi, Denso, Delco, NTK/NGK, Remy, Felpro, Mahle. This guy is being dramatic. Don't order shitty Gabriel shocks when you have so many options for a vehicle like a Tahoe. Also you don't have to wait to get refunded to order new parts. I've had a starter expedited to me within 24 hrs.
