Why kind of rope do you use? I use nylon but the loop doesnt keep a circle shape it slacks if that makes sense.

Just got my two little boys ropes up at the rodeo tonight here in Star Valley, WY. Got back to grandma's, and dad couldn't really show them the "ropes"until I looked up how to throw a lasso on CZcams, and your video quickly taught me to deliver, instead of throw! Now I almost can't miss on my kids crawling past me, being my "cows"! I May just be competing in this rodeo next year when we come up again! Haha

This is by far my favorite dummy

Turbo, that's a Darkside rope by Revolution Ropes. Think of the spoke as an extension of your first finger. A longer spoke can generally give you a little more control over the swing and delivery of your loop.
