yup, but that is because of my poor work on install. If you make sure to fit each rivet and use a generous amount of gasket maker it should seal !!
@@kriswyche gotcha ok. Do you think use more rivets than you used as well or just make sure they’re all the way in?

@1jzhatch113 my leaks weren’t through the gasket maker but because i have some badly installed rivets, plus if you lay the gasket circling each rivet you shouldn’t have much trouble

i bought a coppermix twin disc for my sr20 cus it was discounted and cheaper than the single / other quality clutches at the time, gonna probably just explode my trans immediately anyways lol.
@@sugoi4983 🤣 my synchros were on the way out and i was grinding a ton the day my trans went. me and a friend studied the video and it seems the gears didn’t fully engage after my clutch kick and it just obliterated 2nd gear. but yeah running the stage 4 was brutal, not so much the disc but the pressure plate clamping force was overkill and i could tell the drivetrain didn’t love it too much

I have been running 2 SR20DETs on 15W50 for at least 5 years. One of them is stock that just ticked over 240k, the other one gets driven on weekends and only switched to 10w60 2 years ago which runs 22PSI of boost on a stock bottom end and gets drifted hard at QR every now and then on E85 + has easy Sunday drives. I change the oil every 10k KM on the stocker and once a year or 5000km on the E85 engine. Both stil run great especialy the stock S15 with 240xxxks!

Hey bro, ive hesitation when accelerating from 2nd . My sr20 tune to 400hp.. what should i check. What spark plug gap you gapped in . Thanks
I forgot my gap but it should essentially decrease the higher the boost. If it’s hesitating it could be ECU pulling timing due to knock, could also be timing, so many factors, have to knock out potential causes one by one

Wiring is one of those things that can be intimidating. I was a bit hesitant to film the connector building process but I thought it would be nice to figure it out on video, MUCH easier than I thought and I would 100% use it again to make more connectors !!

You are meant to run battery cable to the starter. Than a smaller wire from starter to alternator, with a fuse inbetween, about 80 to 100 amps. Without a fuse, if you end up with a alternator diode pack short you'll now get a fire, as it won't trip that 250amp breaker.
The circuit is designed based on the oem wiring, there is a fuse outside the circuit that controls and regulates the alternator, if that fuse blows the alternator stops charging completely.

Do you know where I can get the cam caps? I searched on eBay and other sites but not yet.
usually you replace the entire head assembly, this is also the reason why you keep the caps in the same order when you remove and reinstall, because the tolerances are so tight and changing them can cause the bore to be out of round.
if you do end up finding caps, make sure you install them without the camshafts and torque them, then have a machine shop check each cam bore for any out of round 👍🏾

whats the mount u use for your handbreak and shifter?
just using the mounts they came with, one is a clamp and the other uses bolts, they attach to the plate that came with the NLR racing seat kit
