Gals having gals time together. Yada yada yada.
Incredible choices, including Saul Steinberg, who has been out of fashion lately.
Another great essay!
This was really nice to hear.
Alright!
What a lovely painter one of my favourites
The oevre “Banana Tree” is called “Albatross 1” on the Artnet website. Hmmm … Just wondering.

She’s nothing but a parody of art
You need to see my artworks. Thanks for sharing
There are boys who mistake their love of abuse for love. But you are a golden boy, you will have a next life (you will overcome everything). Your pieces will wash away all your sins the day you disappear. Artists are quickly forgotten, but your sweet heart will be remembered.

I love listening to her talk
Nice narrative and lineup of art 🎉
Very good talk! But Robert Henri is pronounced Onrie. French for Henry.
Love these, however, think about an artist who is rather good, in advancing in years and been overlooked mostly? There is a superfluous plethora of art that's drowning the top quality art that's on the internet. A lot of it wannabes and imitators? Do the young artists realize they are being scammed by these sites claiming to 'offer you the chance' to sell your work? When you have no chance, even if you are as good as Picasso (very unlikely). My advice is that if you think you have something to offer, take your work to a mid market physical gallery, only a small amount of pieces and show. Successful gallery owners don't have time to look through full portfolios and you don't want to irritate them. If you want any more marketing or critical advice, comment here, or wherever. Not if you are under 18.
Loosens da noose contemporary stylz...
The Creme de la Creme … the real deals.
great to hear JG, and this video does not need that terrible musical soundtrack . !!!!
A HOAX..... this lady is complaining about the last administration, that has seperated kids that were NOT with their parents. Meanwhile the Biden Regime has let 12 million foreign nationals walk into our country... This woman is probably working with NGOs that help traffick humans into our country, and get paid by our government to do so. If you are wondering what it means to have some politicians claim you are now in a sanctuary state. It means YOU pay for all these families. All their education, medical, housing, food, transportation and welfare... and you get to listen to this lady lecture you about the "last administration " 😅😅😅. Good luck taxpayers.
Love his work..
Every decade artists say the same... we are in a crisis, the world is on the brink, democracy is in jeopardy, everyone is oppressed!! 😅
Hiroyuki Hamada : Great man … Fantastic artist … Wonderful thinker … ❤ Thank you 🙏
What a wonderful idea for an exhibition. There is so much to like about this including the way it brings works out of storage.
Guao
Very beautifully done

Another great presentation by most talented Corinne!! Exploring art will absolutely awaken your innovative spirit, banish stress and boost self-esteem...so don't miss the guided tours on Saturdays at 2pm where you'll be inspired and have fun!!
I would like to see a show with the work of David Salle juxtaposed with the work of Neo Rauch.
Brilliant arrangement...who was first?
@@danglybit1 David Salle was "first" in the U.S. and Neo Rauch, oddly, took a while to break through on this side of the pond. Neo Rauch, however, has been around and respected in Europe for a long while. They are contemporaries and they both deal with the slippage of meaning through a conflation of representational imagery.
@@davidhunternyc1 Salles images seem to have derived from a stock of mysterious mag photos...I'm slightly conflicted about his work!
@@danglybit1 "Being conflicted" is a feature of modern art. Picasso's "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" perhaps being the first, with it's crude structure, dead paint, and banal color. Warhol and Bruce Nauman did the same. Another polarizing figure is Jeff Koons. For some people, looking at his work feels like scratching on a chalkboard.
@@davidhunternyc1 Jeff for sure... I'm naturally cynical and see a lot contemporary art as being intellectually dishonest...my journey has really just started from architecture into art...thanks for your insights... appreciated.
Pictures of YOU instead of the art...which is tiny compared to you. What a waste of space.

Very nice. Well done guys.
Many wrongly assume the finished painting one sees was painted “ on the spot” so to speak. Most great artist did many drawings and paint studies to work out composition and construction before the final work. Especially multi figures outdoors. Also there is documentation that Sorrola when painting children at the seashore would ‘change out’ a waterlogged child with another when necessary.
Another interesting note is Velasquez is the innovator and originator of the ultimate painting styles the trio incorporated and made famous. Few people put this fact together. Velasquez had so many requests to paint. Mainly, the king ( Louis) at the time, he need to “ shortcut” his technique. As a result he painted “ impressionistically” or loosely if you will, to complete the works. Plus he realized the paintings would be viewed from above at twelve to fifteen feet away from the viewer. At that distance details could be “ indicated” and still seem finely painted. The fact that Sargent and Sorrola copied Las Maninas shows his interest. Study the portraits of Velasquez and see the comparisons.
It is an artists job in portraiture to “ improve and enhance the subject. No model wants to see themselves” as they are”. Sargent was brilliant at this.
At the outset You mistakenly said “ El Jaleo by Sorrola. It was painted by John Sargent
The three Musketeers. The magnificent trio. Aptly, The Triumphant triad indeed. My all time favorite painters who changed painting.
Come to Islam n success
Shows himself mostly. Some small bad reproductions. Ego first. Too bad.
What?? Are you saying that the paintings should be shown instead of the speaker? I agree.
Yeah Greg
This is music that should be part of any public school system.
Excellent idea
Great story Roz..
Juni is a remarkable man and a jewel of the Southampton community. There is no better steward for our small town. His kindness, compassion, patience and heart are second to none. He is, rightly, a local legend. The number of lives that he's touched and made better are innumerable. When he speaks, one would do well to listen. As Juni alluded to, trickle down economics is, and always has been, a fallacy. It'd be better characterized as trickle up poverty.

I believe there are many more informative discussions found on CZcams than this one, I don’t feel that this conversation came from any real knowledge of Frankenthaler’s work and didn’t serve her whatsoever.
