Awesome moment
Thanks! Very useful
Best tutorial on the net Ive seen.
That's one of the best tutorial videos I've ever found in my life, thanks a lot! :)
Been doing death metal guttural vocals for decades, and only just now trying to learn throat singing, specifically the Kargyyra technique. A lot of the same basic fundamentals apply, so I have at least a little bit of a head start. Thanks for the tutorial!
Now I know that "Dreams come from the deep"

Very fascinating! I stumbled upon this video after seeing the Dune films and thought the throat singing (from the Sardukar) was absolutely otherworldly! Please make more videos showing the Khargyraa technique. Thank you for sharing!
The false folds are above the vocal folds
Amazing! Congratulations!
A great vídeo, thanks jonny
Great, Jonathan!
One question though. You say that false vocal chords are below the true ones. But if we look at the anatomy pictures as well as the Laryngoscopic video, we can see clearly the opposite. The false vocal chords are above the true ones. Am I mistaken?
Yes my mistake - quite an old video...
Brilliant video, thank you, i am practicing now!
No😢
Should it bleed
Should it hurt

Cool.
11 years on I’m just discovering this video … CZcams can be amazing when you discover gems like this 💎
I watched this video two years ago and it was the best method to begin training in throat singing. Went from not being able to do it to getting that sound. Then just, over time, longer and longer periods to the point I can do it flat out for long periods. I've even taught a few of my friends using this method. Great video.
I'm starting to do it, and it hurts. What am I doing wrong?
Beautiful tune there Johnny
Are you walking yet?
Weirdly enough, I can't seem to do that technique at higher frequencies. My vocal pitch monitor app indicates that I can produce an F#1, E1, D#1 and D1 (F1 is a very unstable note for me) but as soon as I try going higher, I just kinda "lose it" and it starts to hurt. I would love to be able to blend that technique with my chest voice (which ends around A1/G#1) but I just can't get the hang of it. Any advice ?
Good video and thank you for explaining things in an easy and simple manner. One small tip which I came across in another Mongolian CZcams video: breathe from the abdomen using your diaphragm.
0:40 That ACID stuff !!!
Oh man I watched every single explainer video on this and here I was finally able to produce the sound that totally feels correct.
It's a video from 2009. Everyone knows the older vids are the best lol.
@@joewhiteside7434 Correct!
Fun fact: Turkic: khargyraa (Turkish: gargara) means to gargle. Because it sounds like you're gargling that's why this technique is called that :D
What a great man
Ok that's cool as shit 😎
Second day of doing this and still faill to push it down lower than my larynx
