The basis of this "master plan" seems a bit outdated to me. That's nice and all for researchers to make new friends and sit by some fancy man-made river but let's not act like this is sort of game changer for the medical community. Virtual collaboration among researchers seems more efficient and practical to spark innovation. A real game changer in medicine would come from an increased push towards preventative medicine. Maybe TMC can start by removing the soda machines scattered throughout the campus and replace them with sparking water at the very least.
Yes and also better stem cell research, as well as affordable care . what if this is only for rich and upper middle class. people . And those restaurants selling unhealthy food sonu can be the next patient . I have a thinking the ideas they do is to make another Covid instead of making cures for diseases

There is a healthcare falsehood, put out by republicans, that there is any realistic competition between insurance companies. Health is not like buying a car or a TV or a tooth brush. When your sick and you need help your not going to want to shop around. Nor I would argue should anyone have to. The most efficient healthcare system, I believe, will be the simplest system. Less overhead gives you more resources for actual healthcare. Single payer is the least overhead system. This system would fund a healthcare management government body. A healthcare management body, funded by the single payer body and staffed by people specifically educated on healthcare and who understand best management practices will be best equipped to make choices about how and where to put resources. The healthcare management body, funded by the single payer system then would work with the independent doctors, nurse practitioners and hospitals who would compete to provide services at lowest costs.
Seeing professional and educated African-Americans on this panel is very encouraging to someone like me who is in the midst of a Bachelors degree in Healhcare Administration. The idea of what type of job and positions outside the clinical area that is out there is wonderful to see.
