if you love rabbits, want to learn about them, or maybe (like almost everyone on the internet) you just like cuteness, this is the channel for you!
I am the lucky owner of several adorable Lionheads, with babies up to three or four times per year at my cute little backyard rabbitry. The members of my ever-changing, adorable cast of bunnies are always glad to be my models for grooming, showing, color types, and everything else Lionhead. Surely they can’t run around in them cages. It has to be very uncomfortable on there feet. I keep my lionhead and lion lop in a wooden hutch. They run so wild. Especially when we put them in there rabbit runs

Bunny makes a lot of sense! I tend to name mine after flowers and sweets, like Buttercup and Caramel :)

Do they get cancer if their unspayed??
No. It’s perfectly safe to leave a rabbit “unfixed” as you will, same as any other animal. Remember, that’s their natural state. Obviously there’s a risk, but not one great enough to be counted as a cause.

Are they caged like that all the time?
Most of the time, yes. Rabbits really don’t require a lot of space, and the wire is thick and sturdy enough that it doesn’t hurt their feet. The cages have to be up off of the ground like that to keep the bunnies safe from predators. I also have a playpen that I’ll take them out to run and hop in occasionally.
Your bunnies are adorable but wire cage bottoms are very comfortable for bunnies feet especially thier heels as they are very sensitive .
*uncomfortable, not trying to be an asshole, just making sure others understand wire cage bottoms are NOT appropriate for rabbits.

When I was growing up my sisters and I had a bunch of bunnies and when they shed we would put the fur in a jar to see if maybe we could make something with it eventually. We never did end up doing anything with it but it left me wanting to make something out of bunny fur so I got an English Angora and started spinning. Later I got a Jersey woolly and now I spin his fur too. I made a scarf with the yarn I made from my bunnies and it is incredibly warm and when I wear it over my ears it keeps the wind out better than any scarf that I’ve had before.
That’s a wonderful story! I’m glad to hear about your experience with bunnies.

For anyone new popping up on here. I recently tried to order one of the KB tat pens directly from the site. Over a month with no contact after paying I opted to put a claim in with Paypal. They were unable to get a response either. So just a heads up this brand of pen I am guessing no longer is made or something. There is a TB Tat pen imitator on Amazon.. run from it.

Wire floor cages will tear up the bunnies paws! It’s painful. Pls put a proper floor to protect their paws.
Hi! I have answered several comments like this, so I will do it here as well. This is, unfortunately, misinformation; as long as the spaces between the wire are small enough and the wire is not too fine, it doesn’t hurt their feet. I have been residing rabbits for several years (my mentor for several decades) and neither of us, nor others in the community, have had issues with wire as long as the proper type is used.
I know you said “just don’t watch it if you don’t like it” and not to spam but this has to be said. I don’t mind the pen or anything but you were pushing that rabbit down and forcing it to do what you want even though it clearly does not want to. You also pulled its legs to force it into the position you wanted the rabbit in. This is animal abuse.
Hi! I’m glad to make this a learning opportunity. I would never dream of hurting any of my animals; I love my bunnies and I want them to be safe and comfortable. The way I handle them may look rough to someone who hasn’t had my experience, but while a small amount of pressure is necessary to keep a particularly wiggly bunny from squirming, I don’t push or pull enough to harm them or make them uncomfortable. I plan to do a video on rabbit handling in the future. Thanks for your comment!

You have them just out in the weather the rain snow and heatwaves
They're okay, I promise! Rabbits (like other animals) are built to be able to withstand the elements, and I make sure that they have extra bedding when it's cold and frozen water bottles to lean up against when it's hot.
Ok during our country fair I show chickens rabbits and a lamb someone had a rabbit in the barn with frozen bottles and it kept looking like it was going to have a heat stroke and they kept putting it in the fan they took it home so I was just thinking like that buny outside all the time

These bunnies shouldn’t be outdoors! It’s snowing! so of course they’re cold. Also THOSE WIRE BOTTOMS! Wire bottom cages aren’t good at all.
I've been raising rabbits for five years, and I was inspired and mentored by someone who's had them for nearly 30 years. In all that time, I have never had or heard of a rabbit who was bothered by being outside in much colder weather than this, not to mention that I couldn't bring them inside if I wanted to. I have seven rabbits in heavy cages; it's just not practical and not worth it for the amount that they care. Also, wire bottom cages are just fine, as long as the wire isn't too thin and they're kept clean. I understand your concern, but trust me, I did all of the necessary research before I started raising these wonderful animals and I want them to live the best lives possible.

They probably have been doing this, keeping rabbits in these conditions for that long of a time. The least I can say is everything is fine you do take care of them. But the wire bottom is terrible And their areas are a bit small. Also, cages aren’t very good. Do you take them out of their cages for free roaming?
@@tarab817 I wasn't necessarily referencing experience, just a length of time that neither one of us has ever seen an issue with this. And yes, I do have a playpen (as mentioned in an earlier comment chain) where I let them hop around sometimes. We can agree to disagree, but I am confident that I am doing what I know to be best and most practical for these animals.

Hi! Quick question. For a 8-12 week bunny, how much pellets should I give them?
A small scoopful should be okay; that’s about 2/3 or 3/4 of a cup.
