A mate of mine made a short film a while back and he said they rented the mad max car and shot it in Broken Hill. Said it was just sitting in some guy's shed. I wonder if it's one of the versions mentioned in this video? I will link the video. This game is AWESOME and always will be!!!! It sucks that George Miller wasn't really brought into it to give his blessing and OK but the game they made was still full of so much love and fanfare, clearly made by people who are fans of the series!

Gotta be honest, wasn't planning on watching the whole video, but it was so well-put together that I had to watch 'til the end. Great work, and you got a subscriber!

Well I learned something interesting about my old workplace, Canal Rd Film Center.

I’m sorry if this has been brought up. I just found this video and channel. But one thing that has bothered me about Fury Road is that Max refer’s himself as an “Ex-Cop.” Cop, comes from the term ‘copper’ which refers to Britain’s police carrying copper badges. In Mad Max, they are called ‘The Bronze’ because they carry bronze badges. Max in Fury Road should have called himself ex-bronze. Small detail. Thanks for reading

Sorry but this is terribly frustrating, and it is Millers fault 100%. He had great ideas but no concept of continuity. Trying to put the scatter brain concepts together when he is driving this thing in the moment by the seat of his pants, is pointless. Accept that he is rebooting ideas and rehashing concepts as time goes along in our real world. To spell it out clearly, there are implications in the first two films, regardless of what the heck Miller ever says after the fact. These things are based on logic and what we actually see on the screen. 1. TV guide always claimed Mad Max 1 is POST APOCALYPTIC. This could very well be the fault of Road Warrior intro. Either way it WORKS. Australia did not have major strike targets by USA or USSR, so society could hang onto there. 2. Road warrior intro states Fing clear as a bell…the world was once powered by black fuel. It stopped. Why? It is explained immediately TWO mighty warrior tribes, engulfs THEM ALL. Some Middle East scuffle would never in any universe be THAT thing. It certainly would not affect “the black fuel” which can be found all over the planet. So that backward thought process is a huge fallacy whether Miller or Hayes is at fault it doesn’t matter, both idiots if that is the case. At the time there WERE two warrior tribe that engage and cause a global collapse of supply chains. It is OBVIOUS. What fallows (Thunderdome details) is perfectly logical and as always had been the implication to anyone with a brain at the time. Things changed after 1989, and now we have this “uh duh, well, um, what nuclear war might have happened???DUH!!!” This is really really really poor story writing/world building. You don’t get to go back ward and take back what the feral kid implies in the narrative, and what follows to its Thunderdome sequel. Sorry. REBOOT is all you can do. You can’t fix it, stop trying. 3. Walker et al, makes zero sense if you don’t consider a pre-Mad Max 1 nuclear exchange followed by societal collapse. NOTHING makes sense otherwise. Stop trying to rationalize it. Feral kids just happened to forget what happened a few years ago? Max is 80 years old but looks 30? Tons of discrepancy not worth the efforts. I was a little 8 years old kid and in 1985 what had happened was a no never mind. After 1990 the entire story makes no sense anymore. Let it go. The world changed. Water, that was the best Idea miller had and the movie deserved to be made. But it is a reboot plain and simple./

Even if Max appeared, there wouldn't be any connection between the two characters as this is the prequel, and in Fury Road they met for the first time.

It's a shame so many of them cool cars got sacrificed but their memory will live on "Shiny and Chrome in Valhalla" knowing they made a masterpiece movie 🎬

I grew up on madmax and am delighted they have revamped it and usually that spoils a movie but not in Fury Rd..Great movie.....I still need to see Furiosa but it's on my list.

Furiosa had Mad Max in it for few shots. The Interceptor in it is not the same as in Fury Road. In the prequel game, set between Furiosa and Fury Road, Max or rather Chumbucket builds the new interceptor after the car gets destroyed in the first cutscene. GM might not like the game but it really is REALLY good. The Publisher just mistreated it and pissed off GM. If George Miller would have been more involved, then he would have seen how good it actually is. And the Interceptor in the game would have been in his thoughts as well as the car at the start of the movie.

Fury Road was based on Orlando Furioso and the 1943 Alan Ladd movie China. How did you miss that sir?

I like to think the canonical reason why Max got his Interceptor back was by backtracking the way he went and salvaging as many parts as he could, and then weld them together with whatever other similar pieces he found out there in the wasteland, explains the rusty parts of the car. Also I love the look of sheer obsession that Max gives Slit as they open fire on each other during the final chase, kinda hope they would show more of this unhealthy obsession, as that car is a literal symbol of a new life for Max.

At least madmax games have madmax on them, not like new madmax movies where theres no madmax.

What if this mad max is not the real one, what if this mad max is someone who saw the real one as a kid and was inspired by his legend and took on his persona, thus letting the legend live on.. who knows what happened to the real mad max after he rode off into the sunset.. some say he finally found peace and settled far away from any violence and destruction, some say he lived the rest of his days in isolation and went completely mad and feral, some say he met his demise at the hands of a random road gang, and some say he still rides around trying to find redemption.. the point is he became the myth and his name lives on..

Back in 75 I purchased a Falcon that had been in a collision for 50 dollars I used the 303 engine for a 67 mustangs that I bought for 50 dollars and scraped that falcon which was in decent condition. It just needed to rebuild the front suspension and small amount of frame work it was not that valuable at the time. I wish I had saved it along with the mustang. my priorities were not mind full of the future value of a car.

I’m surprised he kept saying how the game never got made yet never once at least acknowledged that they still did end up making a mad max video game like ????

Saw the new Furiosa Movie yesterday, and if im not wrong they actually used the 101 car for a little max cameo.

IMO this game felt more like Mad Max than Fury Road did, the interceptor was on screen for less than 60 seconds and max was strapped to the front of a car with a gag in his mouth for most of it, when he did speak he didn't have an Australian accent despite people complaining about the same in the early game footage...

The double rear car design is a recurring theme and looks awesome. Interesting to see its not just me with a fascination for it, as it keeps showing up in the concept art.

Why did they destroy original cars when they could have just put replica shells on a modern chassis. Shame

I wonder if the owners of those Falcons knew they were going to go into the movie. It would definitely be cool to see your car on the big screen, but hard to know they’re being destroyed. I think personally I’d change my mind on selling it haha Rosie was a regular R Model Mack too, not a Superliner
