haha. thanks bro. appreciate you watching the channel.
Fuckin amazing work ladies . thanks for the explanation ! So Dope to see !
where exactly is this
Its about 2 miles from Trail of a hundred giants. Take the main highway from kernville north. After you pass johnsandale bridge you will eventually come up to a fork in the road. One way takes you to trail of a hundred giants. take the other way. You will go about 2 miles and you will see a dirt parking lot on your right. park you car, cross the highway and you will see a dirt road with a gate. pass the gate and hike 1 mile up the road and you will hear the water on your right and see the people there.
Amazing . Thanks so much.
Glad you liked it!

Nice footage. I really felt like I was there with you.
Thanks AL. Dude its hard to get love on youtube. This series took me 6 months to edit and literally no views compared to some really awful coyote gulch home videos.

I haven't watched this one in awhile but I'm sure it hasn't aged well. I appreciate any comment regardless. cheers

Love your choice of music!
thanks so much. I'm a big fan of 80's music and love using it whenever i can. can't monetize but its well worth it. appreciate you watching!
Cool video - but drones are not allowed in the GSENM. I wish folks would follow the rules and not break them. Your drone footage marred an otherwise fun video.
hello wandering soul. Yes we actually weren't aware of that when we went as we went 2 years before and actually talked to a ranger for about 30 minutes on our way out of the canyon and we had a drone in our hand the whole conversation so i'm surprised he didn't mention it to us. It was only when I started receiving comments that i realized we were still technically in the Grand Staircase Zone. We only had two batteries so kept the flying to a minimum to not disturb the other campers or wildlife. I was really just trying to showcase the scale of this wonderful place as this series was meant to be a resource for anyone trying to do this trail. Regardless I did make an honest mistake and I appreciate anyone pointing that out as I have been to some amazing places enjoying the quiet when suddenly a drone appears out of nowhere loud as fuck. Thank you for watching though. I appreciate anybody watching my trainwreck of a channel. hahah
Thanks for sharing. You appear to have a fun group of friends.
jason sorry my man for the late response i've been off youtube for a bit. I really appreciate that. Yeah they are all amazing and this was quite the adventure. If you have any questions about this hike let me know. thanks for watching
Okay so I was just informed that CHIC is pronounced Sheik not Chick. LOL. Please be kind in the comments I had no idea.

As much as it kind of makes me wonder why someone would dislike this I do however think I'm incredibly boring while talking. If it wasn't for the inserts and history of knowing this girl no one would care. HAHAH. Thanks Jay. Been enjoying your 10 second videos on youtube.
BTW posting an interview with my friend Saturday and then Angels Landing and the Narrows next weekend. Hopefully. WE'll see

Eno hammocks suck and their customer service is even worse!
lol. yeah my friend let me borrow his for this review. They seem to be nice to lounge around in but for sleeping it seems pretty uncomfortable. appreciate the view man. These review videos take for ever to make.
Where is your next hike. You and your crew are the realist hikers on CZcams, adventures archives comes in third.
Lol. Yeah I don't know about that. Adventure Archives are pretty legit. I'm actually thinking of inviting them to the same place sometime. Right now we are trying to switch it up and do a 5 night canoe trip in Aloquin Park in Canada. I love the idea of not carrying anything and just loading coolers with beer and steak. Thanks for watching the channel. It's pretty tough to get the views and engagement on here even though I feel we spend a lot of time in post with music and stories. Im getting ready to post a virtual hike of angels landing in a week. subscribe for the vibes brotha.
@@imightbechad3701 I subscribed again. I must have unsubscribed when I was cleaning out some channels. We would corrupt people like adventure archives. Except for the skinny one Robbie pama he looks like he knows his way around some good weed
hahah. well robbie is pumping out vlogs like every other day in his house so I gotta give him credit for his hustle. I do feel Adventure Archives should switch it up a bit as their episodes seem to kind of be the same. Quality is on point but I've suggested they add in some BTS of bloopers trying to get all those shots. You should check out My OWN Frontier. He has one of the best outdoor hiking channels on youtube.

Thumbs up Candice, meh first half of video
lol. thanks for watching
Drones are illegal to fly in the GSENM, just something to be considerate of, especially when you might be affecting the experience of another person.
Yes Noah we were not aware of that until we ran into a park ranger in the canyon and he was very kind and explained it to us. We didn't realize coyote gulch was a part of the glen canyon recreation area which was dumb on our part.
@@imightbechad3701 Thank you for the response, all good, we all make mistakes! Definitely love that place and good to try and do whatever we can to make sure it stays the way it is for a good while! All the best
My intro to this video was Dire Strait’s Skateaway. Down right mystical watching these babes emerging from the dark on a deserted highway, swaying to and fro and exuding their physical prowess. Hell, I’m breaking out in sweat just posting this. Thanks Chad for bringing Candice out of the shadows and revealing what a cool human being she is. Both of you have elegant class. Nice job, buddy! Love from San Antonio to all...... :-)
Most entertaining and adventurous video i seen in long time, good way to enjoy around your friends. Maybe took to much equipment but u helped the people that needed help out of CG. I used to backpack but my endurance is not what it use to be, always wanted to do this hike maybe Oct 21 if i get in better shape. Well enter the canyon at Crack in wall and exit Sneaker route anyways good job Chad
Thanks issac. Thats a good route. Just bring about 60ft of rope to lower your packs at crack in the wall. if you watch the whole series you will see my favorite campspots.
Loved this video. I'm going to do this hike solo in a couple weeks. Do you think I can get by with just trail running shoes and wool socks? What do you prefer to wear when hiking through so much water?
Hey Buddy. Are you doing this in one push or overnighter? This will determine your shoes. For the river I would get 2mm neoprene socks. Shitty tennis shoes are fine but I would possibly drill a 4 or 5 holes with a small drill bit through the bottom of the shoe so the water drains quickly as you will be going in and out of the river constantly. There a 2 main springs for water supply. The main river is kind of nasty. One is by Big Springs Alcove about 50 ft up river north of the compost toilet. Second is just before Jacob Hamblin Arch on the west side of the river. Kind of hard to find but keep your eye out for lush green moss growing on the walls. Let me know if you have any other questions. you can see my gear list on my channel czcams.com/video/ukzQH11VT8g/video.html
@@imightbechad3701 Thank You dude! This answers my question! I'm going to spend at least one night there. After watching your video footage I definitely don't want to rush through this area.
Which route are you going in and exiting? For a two day one night hike I would enter Jacob Hamblin Sneaker Trail and camp near Jacob Hamblin Arch. Then leave your stuff there the next morning and Day Hike to Stevens Arch and back. Camp one more night then hike out the next morning. Two nights are worth it if you can. Also my friends own Escalante Canyon and Rv resort in Escalante. They have great campgrounds on their resort and is a great basecamp before heading out. Ask for Janae and tell her Chad from LA sent you over. Another good option is camping at the parking lot of whatever trail you are taking.
@@imightbechad3701 Thank you again for the help. I wanted to see everything; I've got the ability to stay 3-4 nights. I'm trying to figure out how parking and hiking in/out of the canyon works currently. Hurricane Wash seems to be the easiest/safest to enter from what I've read (I'm going to be alone on this trip). I'm planning on hiking out the same way I went in. Is trying to hike to the end and back over 4 days doable or possibly stupid?
If your going solo and want to see everything here is a good itinerary. Both hurricane and red well are the safest but a lot of sun exposure and definitly the longest hikes. I would park at the Jacob Hamblin Sneaker Trail and bring 60ft of nylon rope as back up in case there isn't rope currently there. Its a little sketchy but if you pack light you should be fine. Bring the rope to lower you pack in sections. It's much easier to climb down this way. Bring 3 liters of water, ( 3 one liter bottles) as there is a spring as soon as you get down. go left up the river toward jacob hamblin and you'll see the spring on your right. After you check out jacob hamblin keep heading past it and you'll find some nice campspots about 1/2 mile past jacob hamblin with lots of trees. Lots of group campers are generally camping right at jacob hamblin so if you want to get sleep just go past it 1/2 a mile or you'll hear them all night because of the echo. The next morning pack up and head back the same way you came in along the river and after about 4 or 5 miles you will reach big springs alcove which looks like a cave. there is a compost toilet on the hill. Set up camp around that area or a bit further where there are some nice waterfalls. stay there for 2 nights and just bring a small daypack so you can just run around and explore. If you watch the full series I point out all the cool landmarks to check out. Make sure to hang up your food in a drybag as the crows and mice will get into your food. Make sure to bring wag bags as there is a rogue park ranger that checks if you have them. Bring some 3mm neoprene socks to wear with your water shoes so prevent blisters as you will be going in and out of the river frequently and the constant sand will mess up your feet pretty bad. Avoid river water for your filter as it will clog it up quickly. Look for the spring water coming off of the cliffs. any other questions feel free to ask. I've done this trip 4 times.
How do your videos not have thousands of views. I know why mine dont, I'm stoned right before I upload and I never edit my videos but you actually do work.
lol. Jay it's so hard to get views. This whole series to me 6 months to edit. The GOPRO software takes 1 hour for 1 minute of stitching before you can even edit it and I had 4 hours of gopro footage and 8 hours of cellphone footage to go through. No matter what I do from keywords to thumbnails whatever I just crack the code. hahah. But I really do appreciate comments like this man seriously its a lot of work but I have something my friends can show their kids later to show them how cool they were back in the day.
Im sad Syntax77 never watched the video. haha
