जय श्री गोलू देवता मंदिर , चितई, अल्मोडा (उत्तराखण्ड) : न्याय के देवता एवम एक असीम आस्था का केन्द्र
देवभूमि उत्तराखण्ड के कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में गोलू, गोल्ज्यू या ग्वेल देवता बहुत प्रसिद्ध हैं।गोलू देवता को गौर भैरव (शिव) का अवतार माना जाता है , और पूरे क्षेत्र में उनकी पूजा की जाती है। यह न्याय के देव व कुमाऊं के राजा कहे जाते और यहाँ कई मंदिर हैं, और सबसे लोकप्रिय चितई गोलू देवता मंदिर अल्मोडा से लगभग 10 किमी जागेश्वर मार्ग में स्थित है। दूर-दूर से श्रद्धालु इस मंदिर मेँ चिट्ठी द्वारा गोलू देवता से न्याय की गुहार लगाने आतें हैं । लोकप्रिय धारणा है कि गोलू देवता भक्त को त्वरित न्याय प्रदान कराते हैं, मनोकामनाओं की पूर्ति के बाद भक्त मंदिर में श्रद्धापूर्वक घंटी चढ़ाते हैं | कुमाऊ के कई गांवों में गोलू देवता को प्रमुख देवता (इष्ट/ कुल देवता) के रूप में भी प्रार्थना की जाती है।

    A must visit. Not much has changed around the temple premises. So many visits to this temple in the past, prayers and family picnic. When we approached the well, knew the temple was a few minutes away! Jai Maa Santla Devi!🙏🏼🙏🏼
