But I was able to make it after explaining everything that I have enough funds to support my trip. That is what they want to establish to satisfy your purpose of travel if it's for tourism. I was only asked if I can show leave of absence approval and confirmed to him there is no copy of the email approval. Then the immigration officer was okay with that. Hope this helps.

No we were not asked to provide a bank statement. We have been traveling abroad since 2006. Their record will show, I do not think they still require to see a bank statement.

[ ] Bus 790 from Yehliu to Keelung - it took a lot of walk going to the intersection in Keelung where buses stop [ ] Bus 791 from Keelung to Ruifang station - to be very honest I forgot already the exact bus that we took but 791 is an option [ ] Bus 965 from Ruifang to Jiufen I highly recommend doing your research as well to check for best suitable directions using google map from point A to point B as what we did at that time required a lot of walking and a lot of research at the actual point A.

So long, you are sincere and confident answering questions, required documents are prepared and you justify that the purpose of teavel is based on your documents. You should be good. For tourist, there should always be a return flight ticket.
