Inked! Fishing for Squid & Cuttlefish Moreton Bay
We chase squid and cuttlefish for a feed and future bait using a collection of lures, from cheap Servo/ebay ones to fancy UV shimmer expensive ones.
The wind was up more than expected, however we still managed a few good ones and a heap of laughs.
It was so cold, at times it was difficult to talk clearly. 🥶😅

Fishing off the Gold Coast with a couple mates, Adam & Sean, having a nudge fishing for some Tuna, cobia, and Spanish mackerel. Unfortunately the monster fish were unbeatable today destroying gear and our backs, however we will be back! Catching marlin at spot X Gold Coast. No sht, there is a actual place callled spot X. Long time no upload, many more to come. 2.5 hour fight with this rambunctious black marlin. At the 1.5 hour mark we realised it was tail wrapped making it very hard to land, as it would dive when close to the boat. We ended up 8 km from where we started chasing it! 🤙 Unfortunately the fish was in poor conditio...

I had a double hookup fishing solo offshore - which I found rather challenging, however from watching the video I can see what to improve for next time. Initially I thought Marlin as I just hooked one 10 minutes before this and seen it jumping, this time I had not, however in another video coming I think this is a double hookup Dolphin Fish, the Bull and the cow. Unfortunately I lost both of them.

Do you use live baits, live sardines are really good at catching fingermark and jacks.

Long time ago mate.. But i do, I use diced pilchard, prawns and yabbies when able to. Little to no weight.
