Thanks, gotta drain the oil to do this as well?
Hey man I’m having a problem with just a super super stuff clutch pull and sticking my basket is grooved pretty bad the boss is groves pretty bad, I’ve replaced clutch arm clutch push rod and new clutch cable , think that the basket and boss is my problem would you agree?
Saved me 30 $… I didn’t have to drain the fucking oil
A tool like that is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks for the demo.
Did u get it on ebay or a bike shop? Having a issue finding it
The clutch boss
I got it from Motosport.com, you can find it here www.motosport.com/wiseco-clutch-inner-hub
Do the cam shaft go on the notches or no? About to finish rebuild on 03 450f n it’s last think I need to know
Not sure what you referencing. But you align the mark on the rotor with the stationary pointer on the crankcase cover and then align the marks on the cams to the cylinder head surface. See page 4-23 in owners service manual. You can find a copy of the manual on Manualslib.com
@@jriders5212 got it after.
What year is ur bike
2004
If you heat up the frame slightly to make aluminum expand it will knock right out easily
Why do cunts think it’s hard to kick a 450 over and need a boot to come on
Nice video, but that's to much beating on those bearings, take the time to find a driver/ socket that only contacts the outer shell/ race of the bearing, you can damage the bearing by hitting any other way. Thanks for posting.
My 06 doesn’t have that line
I have on too I believe that gas tank is made that way, just 2 bolts up front
Great job dude
What your bike are you working on and what was the reason for having to replace the whole water pump
The water pump seal was leaking. So I bought a whole new kit for it.
Really good video, very informative 👍🏽
My waffle has 2 ridges
Got the 2020 version brilliant machine best bike if have ever owned and a 250 2 stroke for a chill and a contrast its good too have both
nice video
I was struggling to get the race out so I welded a piece of round bar across the inside of the race and smacked it with a hammer popped straight out would of been a lot easier with this tool
Seems much safer, but are there any issues with doing this off the engine? Do you need to redo this after installation? Is setting timing an issues with getting things TDC etc. Thanks
No you will not have any issues doing the shim job off the engine, and no you should not need to redo it after the install. As long as you make sure the cams are positioned where TDC is when performing this off the engine. On most bikes there are marks on the gears and the head so you may know where TDC is. If you’re unsure before you take it off the bike use a sharpie to mark TDC on your cams in correlation with your head so you have a reference point. Ensure you tighten down the bolts holding your cams in place to proper spec and in proper order, if you do that you should be good to go. The reason why this works is because the whole purpose of doing a shimming job is to ensure your bike has the right gap between the valve buckets and your cam lobes. When the head is hooked up to the engine and the timing chain is connected it has no effect on that clearance. what does affect that clearance is making sure the cams are at TDC and that it is tighten to spec.
Cant belive 2003 looks in such a good looking shape on the outside!
Excellent!
Would a broken seal cause the coolant to leak and mix with the engine oil ?
Yes because the inner seal stops the coolant from going past it and into your right engine case. So if your oil is milky that could be a reason
I just change my oil in my 2011 kx 450 and had coolant in the oil so this could be the problem?
Did the seal change stop the coolant for getting into your oil. I’m praying this is ways wrong with mine
@318boro yes it did but I also was dealing with a Crack in the case as well. Rule number one just buy a new case
Thanks for you reply!!!
hey i’m doing the same seal on my bike, i’m just making sure that seal has to go face down?
Yes the flat side goes face down and the side that has the retaining spring faces towards you when installing I hope this makes sense.
@@jriders5212 just did this on my bike a couple days ago and seems to be working perfectly, thank you for the vid!
