Really fun playthrough. I have some of my copies from when I was a kid, but really want to find this now. Armies of Death is an excellent one that has you lead an army and fight a pitched battle at the climax. Seas of Blood is similar, but on a pirate ship. More like Sinbad than PoTC, but still an interesting dynamic. Really great videos. I love the fun you guys have playing them.

I don't believe I have opened it as of yet either, if I record video 4 this evening I will check again (having T-Storms and off and on Power Outages today). @58:50 the hint for this part was in one of the tapes, it basically told you to get rid of the camera, it wasn't clear how until this point in the game. Such a tragic ending for such a good game. Congrats on finishing the game. You did good finishing this one.

@2:45 The tapes you got out of the safe in the previous video are the tapes you got earlier on and put in the safe. The safes you find throughout the house all contain the same content. I did the exact same thing in my first play-through. I am glad it isn't just me. LOL. The bolt cutters are needed in the Kitchen and Bathroom. You can also store the tapes in the safe to give you more room in your inventory. I know you've completed this, but it may help others who haven't got this far.

Yes, @3:05 way better experience with smooth turning on. The snap turning in this one makes it seem like it's glitching out at times. @6:30 I am new to VS (PSVR2) as of just a couple days now. I have been using Smooth turning as its much more real it seems, but after 40-50 minutes I an completely nauseous and soaked in sweat, I have to take a break to the next day, It will take some time to get used to. @15:25, not the candle as you found out, but take a photo of the wall behind the riddle, on both sides. @38:15, the reason your running into that guy is because you already read the Note from Nancy in the Confession booth. You want to read that after placing candles in the Yellow, Red, and Blue Mazes to prevent him from hunting you so soon. You can slow him down by flashing him with the camera. @56:55 turn and run, holding the L3 button down. Nice job getting through the puzzles on this one, as they are a bit tricky.

Enjoying the playthough thus far. @1:05:08 it said "LUCA". The trick for that maze @1:08:44 is to get to the creature, then go in the direction it goes each time. Took me a couple tries but its not to difficult once you go through it a couple times (From the start go: Left, Straight Until You Reach the End -> Then Turn Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left).

colors are all weird, im using a Mac. oversaturated or nothing, not the normal colors.

Getting mine next week, any tips to know? I'm using a 4090 as well.

People don't seem to like this as much as the other Fighting Fantasy books but I really like how they at least tried to remove the linearity to some extent and played with different alignments with three quests. It's pretty ambitious stuff for the time.

I hope you liked this one, it's clearly in the top 3 of the FF books. And yes, the last part is open, no "only one path" to finish the book, you can take multiple routes and still win. Concerning the next books, here's a little review of the ones I know: - #12 (Space Assassin): dreadful and boring af, you can easily skip this one - #14 (Temple of Terror): classic Livingstone, this is the sequel to Forest of Doom -- not his best book, but should be enjoyable - #15 (Rings of Keiher): well... Space Assassin was bad, but this is even worse, probably the worst of the FF books, don't waste time with this one either... - #16 (Seas of Blood): a very original book where you play as a pirate in a semi open world, but be careful... to win you have to be the first to find the treasure, so time is your most valuable resource -- if you like to try something new (and also difficult) then don't miss this one - #17 (Appointment with FEAR): four stories in one depending on which power you start with as a Superman clone, and as any Steve Jackson book, it is extremely and unfairly difficult - #18 (Rebel Planet): I think this was the first FF I played so it has a big place in my heart -- a good SciFi book with an interesting story, the only difficulty is to find all elements to finish the book so you will probably have to restart multiple times before being able to complete it - #19 (Demons of the Deep): very original as it is a submarine adventure with a lot of underwater fights and multiple endings - #21 (Trial of Champions): the sequel to Deathtrap Dungeon with another visit to an improved version of Baron Sukumvit's labyrinth -- largely considered worse than the original and way too difficult (no way you can find the code and rings to complete the final trial without restarting multiple times and visiting every location in the labyrinth -- a detailed map where you note every page and everything you find is mandatory here) - #22 (Robot Commando): never played this one, apparently it's boring af and could be skipped - #23 (Marks of Mayhem): another one I didn't play and apparently it's even more boring than the previous one... - #24 (Creature of Havoc): simply the best of the FF books, you don't want to miss this one -- story right on point, difficult as hell (you thought House of Hell was hard... hahahahahaha), just a masterpiece - #25 (Beneath Nightmare Castle): if Creature of Havoc was number one, this is probably number two for me -- I just LOVE the atmosphere (like inside a horror movie) and the extra Will stat that you test like Luck but turns you mad if it falls below 6 (knowing that you can start with 7 if you roll a one like Luck or Skill)... and the two main villains are iconic (the beautiful and cruel Senya and the demented Xakhaz with his impossible stats if you don't find any vital weapon during your adventure to make the final fight easier) -- but the only drawback is the dozens of different paths you can choose to get to the end (well at least the book has some replayability this way), with some being long and detailed while others are really short (one or two are even just one fight or one secret passage, and of course this makes the final fight a nightmare if you don't have the appropriate tools for it) I'll stop here for my reviews, but there are like 30 more to go after these... 😉 Just don't skip #24 and #25 if you do them all, while you can easily skip #12, #15, #22 and #23.

Bought this for £30 and have to delete it. Was good up to a point, got 46% through the game but now, every time I load my saved game it starts from the beginning. Absolutely useless game, waste of money

Holy wow, I just watched part 1 of House Of Hell, and then saw you're STILL releasing them, and then saw the FIRST one. So cool, so much to catch up, and wow your presentation has matured over the year, brilliant.

So Talisman of Death is a slightly different style because it is not as devious as some books are. But I feel you are doing ok so far and have managed to survive through good choices. (despite bad combat rolls). I am curious to see how you go from here though, but remember both the quest given from the crusaders and the quest given by the gods will be completed if you find a way back to your own world with the talisman. Incidentally, Grendel is the monster, but remember he had a mother, and from your friend the scholar, you know there are shape changers around. PS: Soporific means sleepy/sleeping
