I have tried to find this movie on netflix and prime and nobody has it!

Man I see people that are just coming into the dope game and I ask them why tf would they want to subject themselves to this bullshit. It's nowhere near as fun as it used to be and from what I can tell, it'll NEVER be that way ever again. There's absolutely nothing appealing about it. If you weren't with the shit back in the mid-late 90's then sorry for ya! That's whenever doping used to be fun lol. It was a fuckin free-for-all. Everyone around here was cooking dope and the laws weren't really hip to it yet so people didn't really know exactly what they were smelling in their neighborhoods. So dope was literally everywhere. It was great (if you were a doper). There's a line that Brittany Murphy says in this movie ".. stuff just happens and you don't even realize it..life just sorta passes you by." That's a very true statement. I started doing dope back in 1999 and the next thing I knew it was already 2005! That's whenever the laws really came down hard on methamphetamine and made it really difficult to obtain everything we needed to bust off (to cook). But back whenever I first learned how to cook dope... man we used to do 20k-50k pill cooks! We had a guy that owned a store in the hood and he'd order all the pills (Max Brand Pseudo 60's)we needed. We used 55gal drums to do the cooks and used big boat oars to stir it. Then we used the big shop vac filters when we'd powder the oil. Next thing you know you're sitting at the kitchen table staring at 10 Tupperware bowls full of big boulders of dope (you have to let it set and cure after you powder it). Hell I still go to the automotive department in Walmart just to spray the starting fluid in the air so I can smell the ether! Lolol. Damn it man...now those were the good ol days of doping. Iykyk

Such a shame this band didn't go further. They appeared on the Old Grey Whistle Test and Top of the Pops in 1980 and this stalled at #50 whilst their LP only reached #33 in the album chart.

Brilliant band, ahead of their time. Would have been massive in the US mid 80’s hair metal time. Both of their albums are miles better than D Lep.

What a song. Saw them supporting UFO, 2 great albums later and they were gone. Shame as they’d have been huge in the US mid 80’s.

Music industry is a cruel business - Axe was about a year late breaking onto the scene, got signed to a terrible label (MCA), just when they were about to break through (1991) - grunge exploded. These guys toured for almost 2 years straight - worked their butts off, literally drove themselves into the ground ... and never caught a break. Steve Blaze is the absolute nicest guy in the music business (along with Chris DeGarmo) and Ron Taylor had an incredible voice. Had they been able to sign with Geffen and get a team like Q prime ... would have been different for sure. Thanks for posting this ... captures the raw talent of these two songwriters and musicians.

I miss this guy. His spontaneous humour is unsurpassed to date.
