did anyone find a way to change the Scraping Data configuration? Once it is clicked upon and something is set it seems mission impossible to change the settings, there's no more dialog asking about anything and you can only do psychological clicks when feeling frustrated
Great job Michal and Andi. Nice summary and cool stuff! Looking forward to your next big thing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What you do for an app that is internationalized - that is different languages are user. For one language there will be "Touch on Log in" and for the other "Touch on Zaloguj". Then what, should I create as many custom user actuons naming rules as number of languages?
Hello, Marian. Thanks for the question. Defining different naming rules is one approach that can also fully be automated through our API - or Terraform - or using Monaco. This allows it to scale. But, it may be best to also post this question on community.dynatrace.com, as there may be other viable approaches!
Your agent is collecting all data about the server and the application till code level so it's not a security breach ? Now you have all application data and performance, using that u can do anything right . Just want to understand my doubt .
Hi. You are correct on what we collect but thats not a security breach bc we can control who has access to that data. We have a very granular option to specify who is allowed to see which logs, metrics, traces, events …

Let me start by saying, this video series has been super helpful, thanks! Secondly, I'm confused on one thing :) -, how is the lookup command different that using the join command?
We appreciate the feedback, Eric! The Lookup command returns only the first record from the result set. However, the join command can be used as a classical join, like you have it with SQL, which returns all the matches. We hope this helps!
Thanks for this video!
Our pleasure! Stay tuned - we'll have more videos coming soon.

Love this dashboard using classic!
Very useful, I like that it's using all classic menus and views. I'm not used to the "new experience" at all.
I tune in to this series from time to time and I must say that this month’s demo with business event capture blew me away.

So there's a problem with the Scrape Data feature of your vsCode extension. If you put in a URL that doesn't bring back data for whatever reason (like maybe a bad URL or bad username/password), it doesn't return an error and it doesn't let you edit it. It just says Scrape Data | NA and clicking on Scrape Data does nothing to allow you to edit what you put in earlier... I have no clue where its storing that data so I don't know where to go edit it.
I prefer classic dashboards maybe its because im so used to it.
We appreciate the feedback! If you have any additional questions as you become familiar with the update, our Dynatrace Community is a great resource! community.dynatrace.com.
Hello everyone! Learn more about the Davis Anomaly Detection App in our docs: dynatr.ac/4bgQC2A 🚀
I'm loving a lot of the new look and the AppEngine, but the search is FAR from improved. In old DynaTrace, you used to always have the search box in the top left and when you searched in there it was a easy, fast, wildcard search. Now?? Now it's a huge pain. You have to know or lookup all these search terms and search for specific things (like apps, hosts, services, etc...) by typing that out. Sorry, but the new search needs to go back to the old way. It was just so easy and fast before, and literally anybody could use it effectively, no matter their knowledge level.
great session
Thanks for the feedback!
Who tf wants to learn a new programming language to create dashboard tiles??!?!??!
Hello, Learning a new language is always hard, but it’s not the only way to create dashboards. You can also explore and discover data directly in the UI (docs.dynatrace.com/docs/observe-and-explore/dashboards-and-notebooks/explore-data) for logs and metrics, and we're currently extending this also for Business events and traces. Plus, our Dynatrace Copilot is here to assist you. Learn more about these options in our last office hours (czcams.com/video/NpNu7-POnbI/video.html) for dashboards or updates for notebooks. czcams.com/video/TTHpgVr8r1Y/video.htmlsi=DXBVmhszjK-lJmqI&t=1) Happy dashboarding!

Greetings, what are the API Access Token Scopes to choose while configure our environment?
It is a brilliant presentation.
Appreciate the feedback!
So, still struggling to get this going... I have the extension 2.0 SDK running in my vsCode, but I don't understand where I put my actual python script and I don't understand what I use to send metrics to Dynatrace once my script has the data. I tried downloading other extensions from the Hub, but those are packaged extensions and the way they look isn't the same as what my pre-built extension looks. I just need to query an API endpoint, get the metrics, then send them to Dynatrace. I can write a Python script that gets the data, but I have no clue where to put that in the context of the Dynatrace extension nor how to send those metrics to Dynatrace. I've looked through the documentation and there isn't anywhere that clearly explains it that I could find.
Hello and thank you for the feedback, Regarding downloading extensions from the hub, even though they're "packaged" files, you can extract the `whl` files with any extractor tool (like 7zip) and get to the code! Furthermore, we have an example extension here: github.com/dynatrace-extensions/python-rabbitmq, that does exactly what you need to do, fetch data from APIs and send it to Dynatrace. We hope this helps!
@@dynatrace That helps a little, but that rabbitmq extension is fairly hard-coded for rabbitMQ, so it's a bit hard to extrapolate it for what I'm trying to do. Not to mention it's not commented well at all, so there's very little explanation throughout. Is there a video that walks through creating a Python 2.0 extension that actually does something that one would do in the real world? Preferably one that queries some API endpoint, gathers some metrics and maybe some logs, then sends those metrics and logs to Dynatrace? I'm finally starting to understand what the extension.yaml and activationSchema.json do and how to use them, but it's been a struggle getting to this point even, lol... Something that gives very specific examples on not just what, but also why things are done would be VERY helpful for newbies like me. I'm sure once you understand all this stuff it seems easy in hindsight, but I've got to tell you; unless you're maybe a computer scientist, this is not easy at all...
Hello, You can also try to reference this guide: dynatr.ac/3KFutAa. It teaches how to create a Python extension that calls an API extension step-by-step.
@@xtraspecialj You can take a look at this guide: dynatr.ac/3KFutAa. It teaches how to create a Python extension that calls an API extension step-by-step.
@@dynatrace ooh, is that new? I swear I feel like I've found everything I could about the python extension framework and extension 2.0 in general and haven't seen that. That's exactly what I need, thanks!

@@dynatrace thanks for the documentation but the instrumentation code present in the isolated runtime version 1.4+ is having error on (.AddOpenTelemetry() .WithTracing(tracing => tracing) it would be really helpful for us if we can have a proper demo regarding it as .Net is having various instrumentation processes .

I didn't find the AI-driven part. Is it possible to point me to where it is mentioned?
Thanks for the comment! All the data we have - with the context about when a change is made, e.g: a feature flag is turned on - will also be analyzed by our Dynatrace Davis AI -> this allows you to leverage the predictive or causal AI capabilities to automate turning on/off feature flags. You're right though - we didn't show it in the video. But more information on our Davis AI can be found here: dynatr.ac/3xXJ7jk
So why is this blocked by AdGuardHome and PiHole and NextDNS ? I can only see it as really useful for fixing problems. If dynatrace is blocked because people think you are spying on them, can't you just tell who the users are anyway!!!
Looks great, but I'm missing the possibility to {}use wildcards on some parts of the URI that you want to "group" as one endpoint. In Europe endpoints quite often start with the following /{language}/GetInforFromOrder/{UUID}. If I want to create an SLO for /GetInfoFromOrder I need to create one rule for each language of that endpoint?
Hi. There are multiple options you have. In Dynatrace you can specify request name patterns where you can exactly specify that a part of the URL should be treated as a category or whatever you call it. In that case you then get all incoming requests automatically grouped and therefore your metrics are also as you like it.
Dynatrace, Yay! I liked this video so much, it made me smile!
