I love my protein smoothie to start my day. I use water, coconut milk, frozen blueberries and 1/2 banana and other add ins. I always feel full. Great for maintaining that oh so very important muscle mass. We love our e-bikes! The hill assist is the best!

Thanks for sharing your story! My daughter is having her adenoids out on Monday. If it makes you feel any better, the ER situation where I live in the States sounds just like yours, except you have to pay a minimum of $500 and you'll probably end up paying in the thousands... And you still have the wait. My insurance does have nurses on call 24/7 and Doctors you can chat with most of the time, so I will say that part is nice! Still, healthcare is our biggest expense every month, aside from the house, and we're relatively healthy.

I am also a C-section mama April 25th 2024😢 i had wished for a normal first time birth but i ended up going for an emergency C-section.. i wasn't happy.. i literally cried. A lot of things came into my mind...my body is going to change...will i survive this. Oh the healing process is painful and long am still not healed to this day. For the fact that i wasnt ready for it i wasnt happy but i had to be okay with it and i told myself that C-section was my normal delivery.

Age gap problem has always bewildered me. Is the problem the age difference, the power dynamic, or accepting the transition from seeing a person as a child to a sexual adult? If two people with an age gap where isolated on an island should the elder of the two be forced into solitude because society has a problem with age gaps? or would it be ok for them to pursue a relationship once the younger is of adult mind and body? Is it grooming or is it just two people developing a relationship?

I’d really like a video on sober living and also anxiety, depression, etc. I’ve been struggling with mental health issues lately and job burnout. I find I sleep almost all weekend and have to take naps during the week for several hours. Just in a slump lately!

I'm 55 and am relieved I never got married. I almost did back in the 2000s to 2010s in FL. If I did, the age gap would be huge. There would be a lot of logistical challenges. So, I just keep blowing it off. Someday when I grow up maybe I'll do it - lol.

I think women should be frank with their adult daughters about motherhood and the normal feelings which come with raising children in a patriarchal society in late stage capitalism. I strongly disagree that mothers “know what they’re getting into” because I don’t think we see accurate motherhood representation in public - especially single motherhood, motherhood to children who are ND or have additional needs, what it can do to your lifelong health and body, your mental health and your career impact - I think many many many women just have children because they don’t think too deeply about the choice they are making. They often haven’t had experience of child caring as an elder sibling, aunt, teacher before too - so many women don’t realise they have an idealistic view of motherhood, pregnancy and early childhood. I don’t think most women are fully aware of how individualistic American society is towards women who are mothers - and it’s only when you’re in it that you see how lacking things are compared with some other developed countries in social support. I don’t think that we can discount the idea that being parent and particularly being a mother is for all women. It’s just not. Many of us are supposed to flourish as “the village” so many women realise doesn’t exist anymore in modern society. There was a time when a baby cried, the mother would respond 20% of the time - and the other 80% was a community of women. This is studied now in 2024 - so this modern issue of intense regret? Yes. It’s because women are being expected to do WAY TOO MUCH as mothers - all while being expected to continue working a paid job. This isn’t normal for primates.

I'm a lover of all things fairy too, but my 2024 favorite read is "Before I Let Go" by Kennedy Ryan. Talk about strong female characters. I laughed, I cried, (actually I sobbed.) It's just such an amazing book. (Not to spoil, but trigger warning for pregnancy/baby loss.) There's actually a second book by the same author that follows a character in "Before I Let Go" called "This Could Be Us." Definitely recommend!
