Hi, I've been watching your videos for a while now, and it's been fun to follow your journey here in Finland, where I also live. There are indeed plenty of lakes and varying landscapes here. Personally, I enjoy the nature and scenery of Lapland the most, even though I've only been there twice. The environment is incredibly clean there; for example, in Lapland, you can safely drink natural water almost anywhere as long as it's flowing. Of course, it's at your own risk, but I've often drunk from mountain streams. And in Lapland, you often see reindeer, and at campsites, there are usually Siberian jays, which are very tame birds and will come to eat from your hand, for example, nuts. So enjoy your journey in Finland and take in the nature and scenery.

Great built!! Stupid question: instead of building the floor around the shower, wasn’t possible to have a regular shower tray, modified with a drainage hose on the side to put it inside when you want to use it and then keep it in your garage?

Really enjoying joining you on this adventure. Keep the videos coming. Just one minor comment, completely understand why you wanted to get rid of the insects. I would want to do the same. However you should never ever put anything smokey in your tent such as burning logs or a BBQ because of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

you should stop at a fish and tackle shop and see if they have a fishing rod that's telescopic, it collapses down to the length of your fore arm. much smaller than your tripod. its like having a full fishing rod. try not to burn pine wood or really sappy wood that stuff like to pop with little amber missiles. this is fun to watch you guys travel

My wife and I went camping 30yrs or so ago and I suddenly started getting mad chest pains when we were sat around the fire. I asked my wife to call an ambulance as I thought I was having a heart attack. She looked at my chest and said "no, one of the embers from the fire has burnt a hole through your t-shirt" 😂

just finished that book Martha ….its an ok read,ember burn from a trip of a life time in finland verses fag burn from a drunken night out….. patch it on the inside with a colour….save the top and keep the memory

Hey, camping gear should have a couple of holes (and patches) from sparks. They should also reek of smoke. And then you can just use them without worry or stress. They are there to function, imaaageee questions are secondary. And congrats, you now own such a garment. And what a story to go with the holes.🔥💧🤠👍

Cant you have these tent "Doors" open so it doesn't get so warm. You must surely have a net of some kind so you don't end up with a lot of mosquitoes inside the tent...

Heh, before you started pushing the boat into the water for the first time, I said out loud: "Check the plug ('tappi' in Finnish)". Rowing boats usually have one. That was funny. 😄

I like the videos, but not the use of other peoples property without permission. You shouldn't have to have a sign saying "don't use" because it's a given, you don't take or use someone elses stuff without permission. I know you can't have it undone as it's probably recorded some time ago, but please think of it in the future. If it's not yours, let it be.

It’s a type of mosquitoes ( the small flies) but they kinda bite instead. We call them knott in Swedish.

The cloudy water was most likely just air bubbles. If you’d waited a few minutes it should have cleared. I’ve never encountered bad water here in Finland.

Yes! Guys, wanted to ask a question. I have a lifted up overland style Vw campervan, me and the wife would love to visit the lakes in Finland on the TET, do you think a small van would be suitable for the trail? I see some of you footage is a firm no but I see sometimes there are cars and stuff around

It must be great to do a tour with a girlfriend, I recently did a trip from Kent to the Scottish NC 500 alone , it was good but sharing the experience would’ve made it much better .

Hi a tip from an old swed biker. Your kitchen gear put it into a garbidge bin when you come to sweden. Go into a sport shop and buy a reel Trangia kitchen with coffepot, because you have handel of aluminium and two pans one fryingpan burner and buy a flask of aluminium for spirit often one liter and flameproof. you will got so much better equipment because you cant cock in thouse plastic jars and your kichen dont work on open fire as an alternative. Hope you dont take this as an insult thats not the mening but i know how irritating it can bee out in the woods when the gear dont work. Mvh.KJ

looks like northern Maine U.S. and the mosquito are just as big and bad here in Maine so I feel your pain. lots of DEET repellant and if you can find citronella oil and spray it around the tent and camp site sometimes it helps but those blood sucking vampire are relentless. sucks about the tripod. ( ಥ_ಥ )
