Honestly my favourite album of all time.
RM always stood out for me. The unconventional kpop idol. He doesn’t conform to that boxed “expected” package of what a kpop idol is. He’s sooooo much more than that
Thanks for sharing your reaction. I completely agree with every word you have expressed about the new album. Kim Namjoon is undoubtedly an exceptional artist, and this album has been a revelation. I loved how he stepped away from the group's usual style, demonstrating creativity and artistry that transcends convention. Without a doubt alone, this great artist would be great. His ability to explore multiple genres and surprise his fans with innovative styles is something I really appreciate. This album is further proof of his versatility and talent.
I definitely think he would’ve succeeded solo, too! This is my favorite of the chapter 2 releases and it’s definitely album of the year for me. Unfortunately, a lot of the perfect audience for the album can’t see him as anything other than an idol. His art transcends k pop.
CLA Vocals has a crazy EQ and saturation built in, even with all the modules off. Depending on the vocal it can be harsh and make it worse. It’s good for quick demo mixes, decent on rock mixes, or if you’re new to mixing. But leave CLA vocals alone when you level up and want to actually mix like a pro.
If you check lots of original project from pro you can still find CLA Vocal. (Once one of our team asked Tony Maserati to mix some song, there were a track that he put just one CLA vocals haha, the mix was great thou,) and Ofc i rly dont like some ppl saying as if CLA vocal is the best or it can fix everything haha So what im saying is no fixed rule:) just all depends on the situation. Lower the INPUT of CLA Vocal will rly helpful! It will lesser the harshness! it can be rly good tip for CLA I think:) btw thanks for your comment!!

Just wanted to add some more perspective for new mixers who might be inspired to use CLA Vocals on all vocals after watching this. After mixing for 16 years I personally discourage it because I don’t like the EQ and sound built in you can’t turn down or adjust. Keep up the good work and grind fellow mixer friend 🙏

Love hearing your thoughts & how you relate it with other artists. Personally, I think RM have such a wide knowledge and exposure of various type of music. For Lost!, I like how experimental the sound is and how it brings out some cheekiness & playful side of RM while he is lost. The MV too is well done. RM did say that Lost! best describes the album.

Great analysis. Can you also talk about the fact there is an age restriction on How Sweet? Considering the most foreign fans of NewJeans are under 18, that was a killer move. Also, there is a geographical restriction. And, with my own eyes, I confirmed that two most popular comments with more than 40k likes disappeared. I witnessed the total comment count decreased during an hour. There are more, but at least these three are confirmed facts. Can you please also talk about these facts?

my favorite song is Armagaeddon but the album is so good the tracks that i love the most in that album are : Armagaeddon, Prologue, Live my life, Supernova and Long Chat. there only Melody that well it's not a song for me but the rest i like or love ❤️ could do a review on the album please !

I’m curious what this would sound like without the traditional SM bridge and that chitty bang bang part… instead maybe add a Giselle rap part instead. Could have been even better, and it’s already a 9.
no lmaoo the SM bridge and chitty bang bang needs to be there so u wont get bored listening to the song again and again instead of just adding some boring raps part, especially the pre chorus bcs the builds before the drop on the chorus makes it sounds even more catchy.. just like he said the contrast make the course works so well bcs of it, this song produced perfectly
