I really am disappointed when they post videos of animal cruelty. Where is CZcamss censorship when you need them? I wish the rider had the compassion for this horse that this horse has for him. Somebody please buy that horse and give it a good home.

Poor horse. Shocking rider ....sitting on the cantle of the saddle is bad for the horses back. Hauling on the (severe) bit. Hitting her for no reason. She's also well sweated up, you can see her discomfort.

IDK why so many people bad mouth these riders about their posture or the horse’s. White people are way harder on these gaited horses. They truly torture them. Need to check yourselves and leave these folks alone.

This is the horse's natural gait. It's a Standardbred Trotter, pacer. They generally pull in cart races. Contrary to the criticism on here, actually single footing has saved 10's of 1000's of these horses from cruel treatment, starvation and most of all that painful last ride to the Mexico or Canadian border slaughter houses. These guys feed and care for their horses. They have regular farrier and vet visits. They must to compete in events. Yes compete. Its widely popular, hence my previous statement, saving 10's of 1000's of horses from slaughter. Many Off track Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds end up in slaughter houses.

Ssddlebred pacer moving on. I like single footing but not on pavement. Probably has a rubber type padded shoe with a clip that still taps the road. I dint think pavement is s good idea. Only when necessary and get back on the ground asap. Lovely Standardbred horse.

Beautiful horse, but it's sad what people do to them. It's ridiculous with all these different riding techniques that people think it's natural for a horse to do them. This looks uncomfortable as fuck to the horse. The way the horse's head is held is a concern. The way people keep riding these horses on pavements is ridiculous. It's a good way to ruin their hooves. The bits that they use r absolutely horrifying 😳. These poor animals endure so much and people want to say that it's natural for the horse to do it, but in reality it really isn't natural.

I don't agree with riding on the pavement because that is very damaging to the horse's hooves. I don't agree with the bridle and bit. I don't care for how he is sitting in the saddle or how he is holding the reins. Sitting far back puts more weight towards their back hooves. Pulling tight on the reins is damaging to a horse's mouth. Their mouths are sensitive as well as the rest of their bodies. Horses have more nerve endings in their skin than us and they feel pain easier then we do. U need to be gentle on their bodies and mouths. A horse's skeletal isn't fully developed until the ages of 5 to 6 and for larger breeds it can be until 8. Many put too puch stress, trauma, strain, pressure, and weight on a horse's body at young ages. The horse also does look like they should put on a little bit more weight.

What is wrong with these comments? It’s like none of you all had ever seen a horse before let alone a gaited one. Have you ever seen saddlebred pleasure driving and riding competitions? The horses hold the head like that. Gaited horses sweat. Horses sweat when it’s hot. Horseshoes are a thing. Maybe ya’ll only seen fat horses and are shocked to see a fit one. Heck even young horses are naturally lean. Seriously. Maybe two or three comments are valid but the rest sound like a bunch armchair warriors who don’t know about horses.

The pavement is extremely bad for the horse to go faster than a walk on, check my facts I have researched. It will cause laminitis and or arthritis. This hurt to watch, and I ride gaited/saddleseat horses

The way the cowboy rides I' don't know but seems incorrect?... also I think this looks so unnatural for a horse, his joints/limbs are really paying the price WHY?. In my humble opinion why do not you, Just enjoy full speed that is what a horse is made for RUNNING. There is nothing more beautiful than that, and btw not in concrete please. To me this is animal abuse.
