The video was very strange and disorienting . Why did the representations of the characters alter with almost every scene change. Can anyone explain this choice?

The ancient alien spaceship "bigger than the largets pyramids on earth" that is BURIED under the ground is suddenly NOT underground being inspected by whatever sensors they were using, but is reflecting moonlight "with an eerie glow" and they are running "brushing away the sand with trembling fingers". WTF... was nobody thinking at all as they made this? I am two and a half minutes it this and ... boom... there goes any respect for the writer or the narrator for missing this. Edit after a few more minutes of listening: Ugh...from the two and a half minute mark it just goes downhill. I made it for a full seven minutes and that was all I could stand. And I happen to enjoy stories with the theme that this one seemed to have. That was not enough though. I have read bad scifi. Lots of it over the years. I seldom find myself just giving up and shit canning it. This however... yeah. It reached that point. :(
