    Any photographer who is a true professional with knowledge training experience and skill can capture pro quality images with any camera. But there's always those who think buying the latest piece of gear will make them a better photographer. I dont shoot and chimp or worry about exposure. I know beforehand what settings I need to be in based on the lighting and location. Amateurs need those auto settings . Easier to use ? For amateurs.

Story time - I had a couple ask me to take some intimate photos for them, what I was assuming were some classy nudes turned into full blown porn in less than 2 minutes. If I was smarter I would have agreed upfront what was going to be shot instead of making assumptions and making it extremely awkward standing there holding the shutter like a lemon for 20 minutes and then leaving as soon as humanely possible once they finished. Keep up the great work!

    For a true comparison of the 50 and 85, you'd need to get the framing on the images at 7:12ish more similar. Then you'd really see the difference in compression. Also, I wouldn't say getting a 50 or 85 is only a matter of personal preference. If you shoot indoors, the 85mm will be a bit too tight. You'd struggle to get everything you want in the frame, since you have limited space to move back.

    The 50mm lens has a dubious perspective to say the least. The background looks bad, it's weird. For example, if you shoot with a 35mm the background looks very good, with 85mm the same...with 50mm something doesn't look good, probably that's why it's the cheapest and unused lens.

    greetings! I'm thinking of investing on the 24-70 f2.8 s. I want something that gives me more versatility especially in wedding receptions and dance floors where light conditions aren't the best. I currently use the 35mm 1.8 on z6ii which I love but I feel like it limits me on situations where I need a tighter or a wider shot. What'd you suggest? Thanks in advance!

    • @hunter.and.sarah.education
      @hunter.and.sarah.education Před 9 měsíci

      I think we mentioned this in the video, but I love my 35 mm f/1.8 for dancing photos. It’s so much lighter and smaller than the 24-70 mm f/2.8, which is ideal for hours of dancing photos! Plus you get that extra light in the dark reception space when shooting at f/1.8. But during the ceremony or family or wedding party photos, the 24-70 is my go-to!

    it is helpful to hear some of the reviews but it makes me questions about the level as photographers. if you are a professional photographer you are capable of figuring out the exposure. however, you need to see the image like what I phones feed. so I see the point however, you sounds like not highly skills to read ambient lights reading. now the mirrorless give you the answer without understanding basic of photography / cameras. it is great the it can show up front. thanks

      Exactly, that was one of the points we made! That’s why we said it will be even easier to learn the fundamentals with mirrorless, because you can see how changing your settings affects your images live and in real-time. We learned on DSLRs, where you had to have an even stronger grasp on the fundamentals to shoot in manual. Good news for newer photographers learning in the age of mirrorless!
