The heat can be unbearable in Thailand, I agree. However, ONS data in the UK shows that deaths from cold weather were between 13,400 to 60,500 over a ten year period. While deaths from Heat in Thailand are between 37 and 61. I know where I would rather be.

Interesting. While Im back in shitty cold Melbourne, the darl is in Siem Reap. She's outside every day at her market stall.. but it's been heaps cooler there for a month. You would expect temperatures traded between coastal Thailand and Siem Reap. But no....What the hell is behind this Thai weather??

I lived in Bangkok for 30 years and almost never walked around durning the day. In my opinion you don't live outdoors when you live in a big city. I would spend midday in the lobby of my favorite hotel where friends would stop by for a chat and a coffee. Later it was off to the gym to workout and play squash. After sauna, jacuzzi and cold plunge it was finally time to head out to the streets and nightlife. Sometimes I had to work and that was always in an air-conditioned space.

You can fly to Hua Hin, just talk to the guys at Phuket Flying Club. Half joking but I’m sure they would take you.

I feel the same way about feet. Thai and Filipino women have those spider feet, I have to do a foot check first. The spider foot is an instant turn off. 🕷👣🤣😆

Pattaya does have an airport and has daily flights to Phuket and Samui and Dubai and a few others. Qatar used to fly it. Hua Hin is getting a flight to SIN or KUL soon. I assume Air Asia since they already fly to Hua Hin.

I came to Thailand 54 years ago, first as a GI on R&R from Vietnam, then again with a backpack spending a year traveling throughout Thailand, Loas and Cambodia before returning to America to finish my engineering degree. I then came back working for an engineering and construction company based in Bangkok but working mostly in Indonesia and Brunei but working a schedule that allowed me to come to Bangkok up to 6 months a year and enabling to maintain a rental home for 9 years in the city. Working as a construction contract manager kept me traveling all over Asia, Africa and the Middle East so have a wife or even a girlfriend was not a practical for the lifestyle I was living, and besides that I was having a ball. If I was in Jakarta, Singapore, Mannila or even in America there was always women to meet and play with before going back to work and even on some of my jobs there were women just outside the gate. Naturally I was being paid very well and always the company I worked for paid all my living expenses providing house, meals and even transportation. With most of my work in remote areas, I didn't even have a place to spend my money so most of my salary was sent to various bank accounts. Unlike Toney I didn't live with a girl until I got married at 51. I had many women that spent the night at my home or a nearby hotel. But to be honest I did not need the hassle of living with a woman seeing how some of my friends were faring with the women they lived with. Reading Tony's lifestyle, I probably had as many women as he has since I was changing almost daily. Having the only woman regular in my house being my maid meant no drama unless the electricity went off or the water stopped. However, in my late 40's I tired of the lifestyle and by that time quite wealthy I thought it might be nice to share the rest of my life with someone and I started looking around, when I met my future wife who was working as a pharmacist at a hospital. She was 24 years younger than me and very beautiful, having seen so many of my friends make fools of themselves with young Thai women was cautious and after 2 years of dating I married her. And unlike the typical Thai girl she did not want money she wanted a husband and a family. My wife went on with my help to get a master's degree from an American university, then became a pharmacist in America for 5 years and after our son was born, we returned to Thailand where my wife got a job with Thailand largest health care provider and is now a highly paid division manager that provides me and my son free medical care. Today I am 77 and retired while my wife continues to work and is now the main breadwinner. Today I spend my time pretty much doing what I want since money is the last of my worries. I just finished working with an architect on the design of our final home having built 2 already and just started construction, this home having a workshop since I still love building things which I will be doing for the rest of my life here in Thailand.

If you can't afford blood work and won't do it frequently then don't even think of going on HRT. Been on HRT for seven years and I still do blood work every 3-4 months. Also hands down the best guy on CZcams for knowledge around this is Vigorous Steve and he lives in Thailand.

Thank you for doing this interview with Lydia. She is a beautiful and amazing person. She is absolutely correct saying that a transgender woman is not the same as a biological woman for many reasons that even the medical community is just starting to understand. There has been some recent studies comparing brain scans of cis gender men and woman with the brains of transgender people. The scans show that the brains of transgender people are unique from either cis gender men or women, biologically confirming the Buddhist belief of a third gender. But since I live in the US, I unfortunately need to present myself as a women for my own safety. Luckily, I'm in a position to leave the US permanently and will be making my way to Thailand in the very near future. Hopefully that happens before it gets even more "Batshit Crazy" here.
