All About Front Indicators || Dissociative Identity Disorder || Reupload from 2022
zhlédnutí 244Před 7 měsíci
Hi everyone, and welcome back to our channel. This video was filmed some time early to mid 2022, and explains what front indicators are and why some systems might choose to use them. As some of you know, in 2023 we lost all of our old videos. We believed all of these videos to be lost, however we recently discovered that we still had this one saved on an external hard drive. We are continuing t...
Meet the Alters || Part 2 || Dissociative Identity Disorder

This video is an interview style introduction to 10 members of one of our subsystems, the Endless Lakes. It was filmed over several weeks, so please be patient with the changes in audio, background and framing. This is simply the reality of how long it takes to film a video like this. This video was going to come out sooner, however more people decided to participate, requiring more editing and...
All About the Complexity of Parts || Dissociative Identity Disorder
zhlédnutí 770Před 9 měsíci
Curious about what makes one headmate a fragment and another part an alter? Here are some answers to that very question! On an editorial note: there is space for another complexity category between minimal parts and pure introjects for brain made alters (not introjects) who are unaware they are part of a system (I promise that makes sense if you watch the video). As we do not currently have any...

I wanted to start this video out with a massive THANK YOU to Ellashaeinc for creating our new profile image! Make sure to go check them out in Instagram (link below). This video took a lot of time to edit, as it relied on me (Astral), reaching back and trying to communicate with Rottie, Chess & Dane about their experiences throughout the course of filming. Dane managed to be co-conscious (co-co...
All About System Terms || Dissociative Identity Disorder
zhlédnutí 463Před 10 měsíci
Hi everyone, welcome to our video about system terms. Some very important points: not all systems will use the terms in this video how they are described in this video. However, the majority of these terms are ones common in the online system community, or are terms that we ourselves are likely going to use on this page. Systems are allowed to use whatever language/terms they feel best fits the...

Hello, and welcome back to our channel. In this video you will meet five alters in our system, Astral, Tempest, Rue, Connor and Kitty. You may have notices all our videos disappeared, we had an experience a few months back that led to CZcams not feeling like a safe space. But we've since taken to steps to ensure our safety, and look forward to returning to our regular content. This is your frie...

Really nice video, sadly we could barely hear you even with full volume on our laptop and on youtube :( also the screen you were showing wasn't really readable to us at least. Just mentioning for your next video because we love your content and would love to hear you clearly! On the topic of non-human alters: I think we have at least one, who's a mythical, humanoid creature. Idk why she's like that. I think she's actually an ANP and formed as a vætte/troll because we grew up playing in the forest and drawing trolls. she looks very human, but she's got yellow irises, small horns and a tail similar to that of a cow. i think she has fangs too maybe? I don't believe she formed to hold trauma, but instead to hold happy feelings of nature being a safe place for us. We also have a new-ish alter, or at least newly "discovered" who's kinda "creature" like. She looks pretty much human, but she's also got fangs and yellow-ish irises. I think they're more of a "creature" in the neurodivergent way of feeling "nonhuman"? We suspect we might also be autistic and/or adhd, so this alter might have formed around this feeling of not being human because of our neurodivergence. She's also an ANP, seemingly! She's literally just here to have a silly time and collecting weird things >:3 We are generally not super aware about our system and rn i think we know of 9 system members, so we've probably got a bunch of animals, creatures and objects in there whom we don't know about currently. I know we also sometimes feel like a cat or other animals, but idk if this is another alter or what. DID is a confusing condition 😅

One of the only few DID videos I've seen with good explanations. One correction, though: DID, autism, and such are not neurological, this is misinformation (not from you, from other people who say this sort of thing). Neurodevelopmental is the term!

    • @brigadeofbeans
      @brigadeofbeans Před 9 měsíci

Thank you for the correction! We do normally say neurodevelopmental, but must have messed up the wording here. It's a very big and necessary distinction.

Really informative. It seems like we do not have partials, but have all others, and because it either a "sound" or something far less, we call them all fragments. But it's interesting to see how it is for other systems.

  • @challengemeneo

About the every parts are fragments thing, honestly the main reason why “they’re all separate” is said so much is to explain to singlets without them losing the point- Amazing video as always lol

this was very very informative and interesting! Im still tentatively navigating systemhood and learning about everything but a lot of this really clicked with me and helped me understand clear differences between parts and fragments - which is something that has been pretty confusing to me! I havent heard anyone talk about alter complexity in depth like you did, it was very very helpful! Thank you for sharing! ❤🌟

Thank you so much for this vid! ❤ We've been looking for language to describe and thereby understand and work with our experiences. Our therapist (that we just left after <2 years) was very "anti labels", because she didn't want her clients to view themselves as "sick". She is also a practising psychiatrist. She took away our language that we had finally required, so now that we broke free from her, we are able to gain it back and integrate instead of being fragmented even more by her medical malpractice. Terms are so important!! I'll never be neurotypical and there's no shame in acknowledging it. Actually, it's the only way to heal. Face the fact you're a system and why you're a system. Thank you again. You're so educated on the subject of trauma and dissociation and explain it so well ❤ Also, sorry for the tangent, I guess I'm just happy to finally feel like I'm not alone and being able to understand all parts of my collective self, or what to say. Glad you're back to posting ❤

Labels can be helpful for some and not others. It's silly that professionals can't understand different people's needs

Thank you for mentioning a boundary of NOT wanting to acknowledge who's fronting. I've seen so many videos about how good etiquette is asking who's fronting, but that's not always the best course of action. I usually don't know who's fronting. I have OSDD, a lack of amnesia (except emotional) and am often very blurry or dissociated. When somebody asks "who's fronting" it just stresses me out.

As per usual when interacting with human beings 1: find out what works for that person 2: only engage in interactions where someone wants to do what work for you.

It's really comforting seeing another system talking about their experiences so openly. It's nice not feeling alone. Also we seem to relate to your switches. We know there's been a lot of discourse about "switch caught on cam", but as a system outselves, we really like seeing other systems switch, since it's helped us recognising our own switches better and also just having it destigmatised. I think most systems experience so much shame about switching - especially to more overtly presenting younger alters (littles/middles/syskids). We have had so much shame about it and it just worsened out healing and worked against integration. So seeing systems being open about having young alters and those young alters being comfortable being visible makes our sys kids so happy <3 We hope to someday be more comfortable opening up to those close to us. We know they are cool and understanding, but it's still so vulnerable and confusing. No one in this body really knows what's going on with our brain, so trying to explain it to someone outside this body who don't know anything about complex dissociation is a very difficult task for us Thank you for your videos! <3

proud of you lot for sticking through and continuing to be so open about what you've experienced, I just recently got my diagnosis of asd + adhd and I can't imagine the stress of that *on top of* having to deal with transphobes while already in a poor mental state. I haven't been with your channel for very long but I'm excited that you're starting a new series! just remember that your health and wellbeing is important too, we'll still be here if you need (or want, you don't have to be in the middle of a crisis) to take a break <3 (on another note, I think that your tattoo really suits you!! people get tattoos of freckles, I don't see why stubble is crossing a line?? people spread hate just for the sake of it)
