You can set it up how you want. This is just one of the main ways to get a normal look out of Canon R5C footage with no LUTs for those unfamiliar. I’m going to be doing more tutorials about the other ways soon. Including using input color space, LUTs methods, and using DaVinci’s color management to your advantage with RAW formats.

Thank u Sir, Believe me i searched tested and made a lot of different types for color settings inside of Davinci with my canon R5 clog3 cinema and this looks best for now. U do not need to output into rec709 from cst because u already done it in the project/timeline settings right ? Best regards ☀️

This method is mostly meant for individual clips. But if your scene isn’t changing much you can select all clips you want affected and middle mouse click on the corrected clip.

Depends on your internet connection. For me my proxies are like 20GB per project and that can take me a whole day. I've been trying the new cloud storage service and that's too buggy to tell.

Does this method work if my editor isn’t on my same network? For example, my editor lives over a hour away and I want to use Dropbox to handle the proxies. I really Ike the idea of using the cloud pod over the new Blackmagic cloud monthly subscription service. I prefer having storage all local to me. Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah they are both fantastic cameras. I haven't used an FX3 but I've worked with the footage in my projects from other videographers. Both have solid images.

Yeah for real. Since the announcement I’ve been goofing around with using my Samsung S21 Ultra as sort of my GoPro angle for some shoots I’ve been doing just to see what’s up. I can record 8K on the thing. It looks like it has fairly crappy compression but still better looking than a GoPro when smooshed down to 4K. I can also offload that footage to a USB-C drive pretty quickly without using a computer. It transfers reasonably to a computer to. They tell us how much better USB-C 3.0 speeds are in the iPads but don’t do it for the iPhone.

Then why don’t the iPhones support that?

It's good! I'd recommend getting a 280mm at least. I haven't had any issues with it, I even had the previous version of it on my 4790K system. It runs a bit hotter with Threadrippers than my 4790K (obviously) but the Threadripper I'm still getting 4.15-4.2GHz boost when I'm playing games.

Funny story, it wasn't working for years and I decided one day to try to patch it and get it working. I installed it and launched it and worked perfectly. It asked me to download the Windows Live program at launch. So I powered through it while it was working and it was beautiful.
