We saw him & James Taylor this past summer at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Maryland where the song was originally recorded for his album. Strangely he never did the song for us. Bummer

Thank you for putting up what I regard as James's most tender song. To say it was a fitting tribute to the loss of an individual who, since September 1, it has become clear that Jimmy was so much more than a singer, songwriter, consummate performer and one of the most decent people who have ever graced the planet, is beyond an understatement. Jimmy told Mac, when he visited for the last time, that "it had been a hell of a ride", he clearly would not want to see the tears this lovely lullaby induce, but we left behind will take some time to recover from Jimmy's loss. See James every opportunity you are afforded.

James is the Nephew of Jean Woodard. Jean is our dear friend from our days & nights at Shady Lane, Ross, CA. James and his brother Livingston stopped by 1 time way back in the 1970s. The Cavs remains HUGE FANS of Jean, James, and their families! Cheers from Cav in Oregon; 9/25/23.!

A few years ago I had to make a life decision about my beloved dog. She was so sick and I was unwilling at the time to let her go. This song came on the radio and I knew what i had to do. This song will always hold a special place in my heart because of that. Thank you James for a perfectly beautiful song and and thank you Jimmy B for all the wonderful memories. RIP you salty old pirate.
