Excellent video, very well explained. I congratulate you all, very good work. I know that when we finish making a video like this and watch it we find 100 details, as if you had to do it perfectly. Great video!!! Thank you.
I'm the country Coordinator for the Netherlands search and rescue let's get in contact!
Why do you want to keep it smaller than your fist? What is the benefit?
2:50 Why are you useing the same color ropes [[ i note that one is orange !!one is orange an white !! Pig rig is orange !!you have no ba lay!!! Wooooopss THAT WELL HURT🎉🎉 YOUR MAIN LINE ,, HAS BEEN RUN THROUGH " 2:50 " 3"" 360 SEVELSNO EDGE PROTECTION AN ALL JAMED UP MAKEING FRICTOIN FROM HELL ON ALL YOUR RIGGING. HILLOOOOOOOO😢😢😢
Oh okay so a video about roof louder climbing for dumbasses okay
Very Good. Being from MD I know a young man who either is or was taking that degree. Go out and help the world. Ambassadors for God.
Edge protection …
travel restraint...
One of my dreams is to take a course from then
The only problem I see with this system is that the patient probably died about an hour into the rigging process. Stokes work better and rig faster than Skeds - but it was a good demonstration.
The editing looks really good. Also, the color grading on Noah is nicely done.
Cool video. This looks really sweet to get into.
Why jump 4:15 to 4:17? that where you show the technique, Solve problems
The cut was to give the instructor at the anchor time to fix a crossed rope, which took a few minutes. Good rope management is always a priority on scene, but takes up time in an instructional video.
Sorry maybe I don't explain clearly, what I'm trying to see was the transition from the very edge to under the edge... the outside edge rescuers "forces"? (It's okay it's what I like to see). The whole video is great and very well explained. I really like it and share it with my friends.
You seem to know what you are doing but I am curious why are you using outdated equipment which is also no longer legal per ANSI and OSHA? First from a safety standpoint patients should not be hanging off a single line (green). You should be using locking carabiners with 3600 pound gate strength and an ANSI approved descender like a Petzl ID L rated for 2 people with panic function. Also, the safety and main line should not be connected to the same D ring. This video was posted 2 weeks ago but seems outdated. I am the rope rescue safety officer for our company so that is why I am curious. Thx J
Hi Jay! I'm the instructor speaking in the video. Thanks for asking, and great questions! The biggest point is that this simulation was set in a mountain rescue environment. Since it is not a jobsite, ANSI and OSHA equipment standards do not apply. In this training, we are following a 10:1 SSSF as recommended by the Mountain Rescue Association (MRA). The carabiners here are rated at 24KN, which accomodates the 10:1 SSSF. We actually ARE following the redundancy guidelines. The Green rope is actually 2 lines. So we are just working off different standards.
How does someone get this training, do I have to be a firefighter ?
