Is it reasonable to project that as the game grows and player base grows these early set cards will only appreciate?

It really hurts watching my Alt Law Leader and Zoro Alt from OP01 I recenely pulled go down every week :( I'm mainly collector and I wanted to grade them. At this rate it's not even worth grading it.

I don’t get the errata hype, it’s a few cards with bad translation/wording. How do you think the RB special set will effect with all the reprints? I definitely can see more stamped and signature cards coming soon. Bandai just started with the upcoming Digimon sets too.

That's a good thing because the product is so in demand. The scalpers, resellers, and wannabe stock/crypto traders are angry they can't artificially inflate prices anymore.

Thank you for including Oda sign Luffy card analisis in this video. I think it's also worth noting that from what I gathered around the internet, its pullrate is roughly around 1 in ~20 cases for english release (1 in 40 cases in japanese). It's interesting because average pullrate of manga card is around 1 in 7-8 cases. So it's almost 3 times as hard to pull as any manga card, including Luffy Gear 5 manga (though technically Luffy G5 is pretty much the same since in OP05 there were 3 manga cards). I think this card is still very undervalued for how unique it is and how hard it is to pull. Pop report in PSA is also pretty low for how popular Luffy as a character is. Also I think OP07 is an amazing set both for players and collectors. Leader cards are one of the best we got so far including Boa and Boney (waifu tax) while Rob Lucci is great for players (lowkey Vegapunk too). SP cards are absolutely fenomenal, mainly O-nami, Doffy and Kid and Izou. Secret Ace is also very playable + Hawkins and there're also alt arts of Boa, Boney. Set looks absolutely nuts, not even mentioning Boa manga, first "waifu" manga in a series. Looking at OP08, i'd say OP07 is way, way better long term and people are sleeping on it. Buy, open as much as you can because the set is FIRE!

I commented with questions on his "Part:2" video but he never responded. I asked him which OP series was "pumped and dumped" because not all sets on the 1 year out graphs (TCGPLAYER) look like OP-01 and OP-06 . I noted that all OP series are technically up on the 1 year. Just that the OP-01 and OP-06 had a sharp drop or downturn. I'm not sure his intent for calling a "pump and dump".

Thanks for the video. I know a lot of people don't want to ban RP law because it was mostly balanced until OP08, and that they want Black Maria banned instead. I think Black Maria is overtuned, and likely deserves a ban, but the reality is that if Bandai does that then Law is still just one strong card away from being this good again. So I think, at this juncture, banning Law is the actual best option. For me, the real damning nuance between Law or Black Maria is that it's not like Purple as a color came in and started taking over, it's just Law. If Law goes and purple thrives bolstered by Black Maria, then ban her. But Law is always going to be one or two cards away from being tippy top of tier 1 or tier 0.

The only good ban for topku is not the leader but kefla.

Competitive play stores (and possibly some other brick and mortar via a different distro) got a case or less. They sold as low as 295 but rebounded quickly. Another wave of shipments looks to have arrived today and anything under 300 is getting snatched up very quickly. Not sure exactly where it came from, though. But the sale rate is pretty nuts

Can you include Oda Signed Luffy card in next video and talk about its potential? I think it's unique card and have so much potential simply because its one of a kind in OP TCG.

How is zoro and chopper the same price

I feel the problem for Yugioh is that it's not very newbie friendly compared to other card games out there. Rush Duels were a course correction for this in Japan, but Speed Duels in the US were not.

Good video , definitely got me over here considering Lorcana because of how good the prizing is and they actually reward players who do really well , me and a bunch of people i know made day 2 and top 128 at YCS indy only to leave with nothing but bragging points for making day 2. One piece prizing is also insane , i just never watched the anime outside of the 4kids version so i dont have an attachment to it but yea yugioh needs to up their prizing by a lot , im glad the player base is finally waking up to this issue on a larger scale vs 10 years ago.

Yu-Gi-Oh just celebrated 25 years, the game is fine. OP and Lorcana are like Tamagotchi, pet rocks, and beanie babies, all fads. Within 5 years they will go to the way side.

I quit yugioh it was just a money pit chasing 1 tier 0 meta to the next just losing money you can't sell the old cards for new ones I'm actually making like alot of money just enjoying and playing pokemon and selling stuff when I'm done its been a blast

Yu-Gi-Oh is the TCG arguably the most ready for the future. They have two apps with hundreds of millions of downloads with thousands of concurrent players at all times. These new up and coming TCGs don't have this. While effectively paying players and giving good prize support is a good short term strategy, it remains to be seen if this will work over any long period of time.

not gonna lie, you guys sound like you'd enjoy flesh and blood. i'm not a yugioh player, it was my first cardgame when it started and my gateway into other TCG's especially MTG. played mtg for decades but now because comp play is kinda dead i switched over to Flesh and Blood. very intense gameplay as well as fast paced, no mana or energy issues. games aren't decided by a single turn but are grindy and require squeezing every bit of value out of your cards. good prize support its made to be played in local communities and not online, good support for the store. been a refresher since i was missing a competitive edge.

In defence of the new Star Wars Unlimited TCG as compared to the other ones that died. This one is a legit TCG and not some dice game. Also has an amazing play pattern. It's very tempo based. Would recommend if you guys haven't tried it yet. Though if you want competitive, I would recommend waiting until the events start popping off next year. Right now the only downside to the TCG is there are no official big tournaments yet.

are the prices really down though? pretty sure moria only says 16 dollars because there is one japanese one on sale for 16 dollars. they are 20 really.

I’m more of a collector, love watching people play, what are your long term thoughts on the mangas? I can’t see a world where they go down long term as long as game remains strong and even if it isn’t it’s hard to see them really crashing, sabo and ace feel like low to me given how early they were in the game.

One more question gyus, what do you guys think about Oda Signed Luffy card? It's quite expensive still over the price of many manga cards. In my opinion in the longrun it's more collectible and unique than manga because we have manga cards in every set which is quite predictable at this point. And Oda signed Luffy is truly unique in terms of design and general idea. We never have something like this in this TCG. What do you guys think?
