If you get a nice photo from a source like Etsy, it should work the same was in the Floriani software. If you purchase an embroidery design from a third party, it is pretty much the way it is. It can not be converted into photo stitch.

Many places sell zippers by the yard and they usually come in increments of 5 yards. Brands like Sallie Tomato and By Annie sell zipper pulls.

If your machine can do a knockdown stitch, that is always helpful, but not all machines have that option, and you can live without it. It would be up to your preference.
