God news, and the culmination of all the work that I and others put in over a number of years to get this right. After all, if other, similar, airports around the country (at least eight of them) have successfully implemented the same kind of policy, and have been reaping the benefits for a few years now, why shouldn't Rochester? Obviously, the jobs here will come over a few years, because it will take time to complete the necessary changes. The other (so far) commenter seems to think this is the only source of new employment opportunities in Medway, and seems not to understand borough-wide long term strategic planning. Never mind: some of us do...

1,000 new jobs in time! We need jobs now, especially with the hundreds losing /or lost jobs at Medway Council due to the present administration's poor management.

As I understand it, Medway never had city status. ROCHESTER did - but that city status was lost due to medway council ineptitude.

How about actually serving the needs of the people of the medway towns rather than worrying about your own egos, The Medway is a river, not a city.
