This year, this invitation-only Google/client event saw the riders cycling around the beautiful south Cheshire countryside before crossing the border into Wales for lunch at the historic Chirk castle. As always, the Google ride offers the perfect opportunity to network/team build with fellow industry peers - as well as having a great reason to train and get fit for.

If you are seeing this is probably too late. But I will leave this here anyway in case it helps someone. The POLARIS BIKE BOX MADE ME LOSE THE WILL TO LIVE. I have never seen a product this bad. Your disc brakes are completely unprotected. The geometry of the bike box simply doesnt make sense. My bike is a size medium and the top tube and stem rub on the top of the box while the bottom bracket also rubs on the bottom. It is complete garbage! Do not rent or buy this unless you hate your bike and want to see it ruined. Scicon, Alan, try literally anything else.
Thank you.
I have sent you a message regarding to your CZcams channel. I hope it will add value for your channel. Anyway I am looking forward to kind response.

Why r road bikes so expensive?
+Utkarsh Chheda If you're comparing to something cheap and nasty from a department store, then the answer is you get what you pay for. A decent road bike will have good quality derailleurs and brakes that will not jam and be made of a lighter alloy or carbon fibre. A good road bike, if looked after can last decades. A $100 "mountain bike" will start to break within a year or two, is heavy and corners are cut wherever possible. Note that (road) bikes are cheaper than ever - $1,000 will buy you something good and $2,000 will buy you something close to top end. This used to be more like $5,000-$10,000 10 years ago.
youtubkeeper still brother, 1000 n 2000 is a big amount.... anything above 400usd(or 450) is crazy.
Only 18 pictures of Gary Hewett!
Audio and what he was talking about was very good. But who ever filmed does not know how to use a camera. One camera must be going atleast straight on to his face. Damn
A fantastic clip to capture the efforts of all the team. It looked like an amazing journey and you must be so proud that your efforts have raised £75,000 so far for a great cause. Well done team, looking forward to sponsoring you again next year! (If you're up for it!)
Carbon is lighter and fat people are faster if they are fit. I think I already knew that.
When the guy said "800 pounds bike" I freaked out for a few seconds before I remembered that's a currency.
This is a problem - i used the box last year. We locked it and risked it getting cut open - we have other riders who didn't lock the box but put a luggage strap around it with just a buckle. The answer would be a padlock fitting so you can put a TSA padlock on ideally. Where are you flying to and from? Who are you ealing with at Polaris as they are a very friendly bunch and i'm sure will be onto this. We haven't had anyone lock just pop open in transit - not to our knowledge.
I'm in Canada. I fly a few times a year to the US with my bike. Have used the tricon, bike box alan and thule. The polaris pod pro looks good and sturdy--albeit a bit bigger in height at the front end than i expected....I may try a strap but the box is not square at all. I may just tape the latches down as added protection (and keep my fingers crossed)....I had contacted a sales manager (Barry) at Polaris Apparel Inc. He was prompt in his replies, but advised that "under compression, [the latches] could pop open so locking is advised...."
good demo - just got one of these. the instructions state that the box should be locked. i asked a guy at polaris about this and he said that he couldn't guarantee that the latches would not open in transit if not properly locked...this may create a problem due to the non-TSA locks used by polaris... i can't lock this bike case due to tsa inspection. i have asked about a 'work-around' but no reply. any ideas?
