Suck it up and learn both ways to measure
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed 6 lety
Just a little rant about how both ways we use to measure still kind of suck but we need to learn both ways if we're going to be successful.

Wonderful! Hoping there are a lot of these. I love learning these basics.
Where the hell did 12 come from
1:00 where did the twelve come from?
Nice trick, again.
Nice trick.
Perfect! Thank you!
Blue tape beer would be a great name for a micro brew brilliant dude
This is useful
I like the measuring tape with all of the 8ths on it.
This works only if the keyholes are the same distance from the top of the picture. In most cases they are installed in a wood frame and are misaligned. If so this method will not work since your flipping the tape around.
Thanks, I have limited common sense 😊. This was helpful.
Best razor knife iv ever had. Iv had the same one for like 4 years. I bought a new old stock one a year ago now that its discontinued for when my original finally dies but it doesnt seem like thats ever gonna happen 😂 i beat the crap out of it on the daily..
Great video you kinda sound like the joker😂
The line of doohickeys are pretty great. Just like with simple pocket knives (not "tactical folders") they are more useful than people seem to initially think.
dont try this in the field you will be shamed
how to do "math" for people who dont know how to do math lol
Thanks! My wife wants to dress up as buffy the vampire slayer complete with a pointed stake. This is way better than the pocket knife method.
Using this video as a brush up before I take an assessment at a job! Very helpful 👍🏻
Great video.💯
Great video, well explained, thank you!
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the czcams.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
I think using both are good. Like when u are shopping for parts online when its in both u can tell the bs. If they only use 1 measurement system there is more chance of bs. I like using mm for fine measurements but sometimes inches can actually result in even finer measurements than mm depending on the situation. And sometimes the measurements match up, like a meter is almost the same as a yard and a quart is almost the same as a liter.
Well yeah, but who daisy chains cords with tight azz loops like that? Hands down a daisy chain is the #1 way to wrap cords on any construction site, and if done properly will do N0 harm to cords, cables and even hoses. IMHO
An't 5 1/2 and 3 1/8 =8 5/8
Not a switchblade... it will be when I get done with it.
THANK!YOU!VERY!MUCH! saved me soooo much time and confusion
Join the 21st century; just use millimeters, it's far easier!!
That took seconds! I want to let you know that when your video intro music came on I instantly and uncontrollably was head-banging like a boss! lol!
this video helped me solve the two fraction questions at my local trades and skill center lol
This knife has a much smoother flip than the fastback
Thxx
In this case: Don't count up from 50, count down from 100. You're making more work for yourself than needed.
Just helped me cover my bases for a written test I got coming up🤘🏽
Good luck!
5 years later lol 😂 this helped me!
Me too...almost 6 years later!!!!🎉
I understand how to write it like that but when you go to Amazon it's not written like that it's written like this and I don't understand what this means 8.5"
Great video but what about a "grinding disc" and a "cut off wheel" that are the same width?
Works for me too.
This video is so good i learned alot thank you
Yep...great little tool. Just have to be careful to not lose the nut when you are changing over...if you do that, do it over a bench.
When are Americans going to drop this archaic feet and inches crap? Get with the rest of the world and embrace METRIC measurements.
Nice trick! Here's how I do it...Take your original number of 5 and 3/4. Divide the 5 in half and disregard the remainder, so you'll get 2 just like in your example. Then, and here's the kicker, add your top and bottom number of the fraction, in this case 3+4=7. Then just change the original bottom number to the next smallest increment, which would be 8ths. Here's another one. 9 and 5/8. 9 divided by 2 = 4 (again, ignore the remainder) (add the fraction which is 5+8 = 13 Bump the 8ths down to 16ths and you have your answer of 4 and 13/16.
Thanks for your help man. You explained it great !
Very helpful. Thanks
How do yu no when to substract from a cut and when to add
Great explanation of blades. Up to this point, I just knew you should not use wood blades on plastic, metals and other materials. The explanation on "how" the teeth actually cut material was extremely useful to know. Thanks for this great video.
Me too!! I’ve been sawing 4x4x10 into octagon shapes to use for my horses jumping poles and since I’m not “spatial” they always come out asymmetrical and crazy looking. It doesn’t alter their intended purpose, but it drives me crazy!! Just bought more lumber today and will working on them tomorrow. So excited!!
👍
Thank you Chris!
An easier method - use metric
I was wrong I put up a video showing using a square nut on a speed square I thought I was the only one who ever posted that on CZcams but I came across your video this morning although I had never seen it before you had the same idea
