Uses the same oil, but with the OEM filter!

Estimated Time to Complete: 30 - 60 minutes
Tools Needed:
Oil Extractor (I used a mightyvac extractor)
26/27 mm Socket (I used a 27mm... but it was a smidge loose)
Ratchet

Where did you buy the main center fuel hose and what size is it. I broke the stock one😢
Don't you have to change the oil cooler by disconnecting the oil cooler line under the car.
Thank you so much. Nissan 4x4 and terrano Are going to be expensive in a year or 2 . We need these vids. ❤
beutyful color, nice spec! please show more of your car!
Something to keep in mind with this roll bar is you will not be able to keep it if you decide to put a hard top on in the future. Just FYI. Ask me how I know!! :-)
Good information! It is definitely more of a structural support or style bar than a true roll bar!
This car and colour is the exact same as mine but mine has the drivers wheel in the correct side and the oil is changed correctly unlike the instructions in this video
Thank you for this very helpful comment. I'm sure someone will really benefit from it.
Are sure it goes horizontally as well ?
One of the best convertibles ever built and very easy to work on for an AMG. One of the easiest oil changes I've ever done. Same for brakes, etc.
great help, cheers mate!
wow. good for r172 owner, include me. :)
Great video! I too have noticed a complete lack of DIY videos for the SLK55 AMG R172. Or much for the R172 in general. Thanks for putting in the effort to record this. Looking forward to more!
Whats that rod called with the red bushing on it that goes from the control arm to the frame part of the truck
My lower ball joint doesn't want to go in as easy as yours any ideas or tips?
I know this is late as he'll but, where did you get the replacement fuel lines for the tank other than the filler?
If I remember right it's mostly generic stuff you can get from any parts store. Not 100% though.
@@wcrowe75 got it! I appreciate it even 3 years after lad.
are u repairing the action lens or lens cover? and glass?
What are the bed dimensions?
What material did you use for the ceiling? Is it masonite?
Nope! It's Baltic birch ply.
What is the tire size? I love the tires but I can't find them for the life of me
Hi! Could you tell me the model year and mileage please. I live in Idaho are you nearby? Thank you.
I'm in NC, so that probably wont work out!
Hi dear you suppose to put the front cv axle firt and then the inside.
you absolutely could do that!
great video, exactly what i needed for my 93 pathy
what kind of polishing wax did you use?
Thanks. I’m going to rebuild the entire front suspension, steering, and brakes on my ‘89 Pathfinder SE-V6. Clear instructions and good camera shots. You’ve saved me hundreds of dollars.
Literally just fuckin stripped mine in the process
As a hardbody owner who is trying to fix mine up, this was extremely helpful, thank you!
Thanks for the vid man, getting an 89 soon and when I looked at it I saw I needed all new front suspension and cv axles, as well as rear drum brake springs
I love you tube it's my DIY owners manual. Thanks now I know I can fix it. I had clicking in the dash for a long time and now no more clicking and no more floor or defrost. Where did you get the Actuator?
I think I got mine from Ebay! Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid! Thank you. What is he torque spec for the ball joint to control arm bolts?? Apparently not shown in the FSM I have....
Please, could someone tell me the exact Toyota part number of those screws that keep in the correct place the actuator motor?
Those two small vac lines that come out of the tank are the most diffucult part of this job. Hooking those two lines back up is pure hell. I don't know if there is a better method but unbolting that evap pipe from the firewall is something I've tried int the past but is a nightmare to get that pipe re-mounted and routed up through the hole again.. not worth it.
You sound like me. Gotta cut back on the cigs..
Hi william just want to know what parts number of that cv axle you have 4wd and the inner and outer tie rod in many thanks .good video very helpful for like us DIY truck owner.
Would a women lower arm bushing cause piping sound when accelerate from a stop? I looked at bushings and there is no play but the rubber is coming out from the top
A worn out front lower rear ward control arm bushing would cause a violent shake at the steering wheel. It shaked like hell on a 2001 IS300 But once I changed it, shaking went away completely.
Great vid man but why you have ear plugs in ?
Thanks man! I think I was using my impact, which is pretty loud.
Just bought a 94 king cab 4x4 187k miles today went to get gas alternator went out 🤦♂️
Can you close the top no problem?
Yea the top was no problem with this bar.
William Crowe that’s great, will definitely check out autotech thanks!
BUT if you want to put on a Hard Top later, you'll have to remove the bar. The bar uses the same bolt holes that use the latching for the hard top. Bummer, huh?
Bent valve?
This ended up being the previous owner had replaced a cam gear and then not tourqued it down (or something like that), found a VERY loose cam gear that wiggled a little on the shaft.
William Crowe glad you caught it
Just did my front end as well except the cv axles, golden information bro thank you!
My ac works on the side vents but the face doesn’t. Could this be the problem?
Im having same issue did you ever find out the solution
Did you guys find out?
Which tool did you use to press the lower ball joint out of the knuckle?
Most likely a ball joint press you can find them at most auto stores :) I only know this as I had to buy one as the pickle fork wasn't cutting it!
One that looks like what's in the bottom right of this kit: www.amazon.com/Separator-Remover-Service-Splitter-Removal/dp/B07F34PJFX/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=truck+ball+joint+puller&qid=1560815953&s=gateway&sr=8-3 The "quick" one (at the top near the handle) I tried and it literally shattered into a billion pieces and sent steel shards into my drywall, so I wouldn't recommend.
Awesome. I'm new.....
Does the soft top work with this rollbar?
Yes!
@@wcrowe75 what about the back storage compartments?
@@iiTzPeRSiaN yea basically everything still works. Just need to cut some holes in the plastics.
@@wcrowe75 Awesome! Thanks
My temp works fine between Heat and AC, it's stuck on "floor and defrost..." I'm guessing this particular servo should fix that problem and get rid of that horrible buzzing sound when I start up?
Yea this'll do it!
Dig it!! Thank you. I'm doing this next weekend... This is one of the last 2 issues I have with the car. The second one is changing the Bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor. Just trying to figure out how to get to it.
Worked like a charm.
bonjour , vous avez acheter ou votre arceau?
Good video man! I'm preparing to do the same thing tomorrow... if all goes well.
What’s the big crown nut size??
Castle nut I mean
Watch a rollover video and then ask yourself how many rolls this short bolt-on will take with you in it.
I agree this won't do much for a serious roll. This bar is somewhere between a style bar and a real roll bar.
This roll bar is going to crush immediately.
@@devisissy1 Correct.
@@MrGeno1951 those 4 bolts won't hold
Collectors Desert Runner # ??? Thanks for video doing same thing on mine
Sold it, dont remember the number, I think it was 684 or something.
That thing looks like it wouldn’t even do anything to help in a roll over.
It supposedly is somewhere between a style bar and a hard dog roll bar. It does help, but it's not as safe as the hard dog. Still better than none.
Did it result in a noticeable difference when driving the car?
Maybe some placebo effect. It probably stiffens that section of the chassis like 10%. I'm sure the Harddog roll bar has a more noticeable effect. So basically no I didn't.
@@wcrowe75 ok. thank you for the quick response
Did your ac only come through the dash ? And very weak from the face vents ? Would this also cause it to blow hot?
Mine was stuck on face I believe, although it can get stuck anywhere. Blowing hot only is likely the other actuator behind this one. Similar DIY process I think.
