A currach is an Irish fishing boat with a wooden frame, over which animal skins or hides were once stretched, though now canvas is more usual. These lads are based on my own experiences fishing around Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher Any questions about the design please post below and I'd be happy to answer

Love the figures. Did you carve them with a knife or a dremil? Very impressed. I have also made your train. People think it is amazing.

Beautiful but hate to tell ya, the trains not making any progress down the track Haha

I like this one! You got to be good at knife-throwing at those speeds! I got a little mesmerized by the spinning background. Thanks for the video. Best regards.
Would you mind telling me what the diameter of the round turn table?

It is very nice the work you have done on this whirligig. Is there any way you could share the gear box? Congrats. (from Brazil)

Brilliant idea. I thought a little further and got a water sprout instead of a wind: czcams.com/video/aujVo-oP2ko/video.html
This is terrific, nice twist on the design! Where is it?
@@westcoastwhirligigs6397 Thank you very much! The small watermill is in Hungary, in the village of Gomba.
@@zsoltsurman9363 Lovely!
What did you use to drive the platter? A Wheel or a gear.
Its the wheel off a toy car which is turned by the driveshaft
Muito legal.
I appreciate that , thanks!
Would like to have seen the mechanics of it !!
Hi Paul: Did you use bearing on the wheels, particularly on the wheel forks? I like your design so much that I'm putting a list of parts and pieces to eventually build one. It may not look like yours; but I'll adapt some of your techniques. I do not have the sort of strong wind here in California you seem to have in your area; so I'll have to design mine, taking the my wind in consideration. This the reason for asking. Thanks.
congratulation it is spectacular it is posible to have a skecth the crank and do you used a bearing to hold the central part hold the wheel? thank from cali colombia rodrigo.villegas@porterra.com.co
Hi ! My father in law would like to contact you to have more informations on how to built those wonderful thing you made ! Could you provide an email address please

I love this I was hoping you on the west coast of Canada I love this whirligig Thank you for the video
Thanks!
This is a wonderful whirligig what have you used for the spinning part under the lighthouse Thank you for the video
It's just a cog which fits into the stand
I built a bicycle man whirligig similar to yours. I never quite got the mounting done properly. It did work but was very top heavy. Yours seems to work nicely.
Thanks for that, its always a challenge trying to keep the weight down
Another good one ! Thanks for posting.
Thanks!
Well done! LoL !
Thanks very much, this one was a pain in the ass to make
An excellent whirligig. Works good too and good video.
Thanks!
Grande Artista.....
Thanks!
Impecável....parabéns
Thanks!
Hi: Great Job! Love your design. Simple and elegant. How did you get the middle cyclist's pedal and crank to rotate as the inner wheel spins? did you use bearings on the left and right side? Thanks for sharing. Much appreciate a few pictures of the cranks and pedals workings if you can send to me: anil.rupnarain@pacbell.net
I love your design. Very well thought out and the best thing is that your design does not include a propeller. I would like to build something similar but at a smaller scale (I think). Can you please send me some of your close up picture I could use for my build. Please send to anil.rupnarain@pacbell.net. Thanks mate. ..Cheers
Excellent design, what diameter are the wheels and what are the ‘spokes’ made from
16 inches on the big wheel and 12 on the small. The spokes are 1/4 inch thick lats. Thanks
Gostei muito , parabéns!
Thanks!
