The comic sans hate is really sad sometimes. As a heavily dyslexic person, it's the most easiest font to read, hence why I prefer it over others. And yet, it always has to be locked away becomes folks hate it too much. It literally looks like my handwriting 💀

"i'm not used to getting compliments with such fervor" ive been posting my first webcomic (its a fancomic) and some of the comments... are so sweet and enthusiastic...... and i just want to lie on the floor and scream cause i dont know how to respond to such kindness. i really relate to you on this haha Also for people asking about fonts, you are def right in that certain fonts are used a lot by people for a reason - cause they are legible and easy to read. My personal recommendation is anything from Blambot (a lot of it is free!!) or ComiCraft. I use the latter but they aren't the cheapest cause they are intended for professional comic artists... like the kind that work at Marvel and shit. But folks, don't choose a font cause it's Unique and Pretty - choose a font because it not only fits with the tone of your story BUT is also completely and easily readable for your audience.

love the video! i really want to be a webtoon creator so i can post the story i've been working on for the past 3+ years. but first, i want to make a small comic with a LOT less plot to advance my artstyle and comic-making skills! i don't expect to make it big on webtoon but honestly a couple readers would make my day anytime :)

it's so sad. the webtoon preset with the panel brushes seem to convenient. yet I can't use these (I have to manually draw all panels witih normal vector brushes and even these will disappear) because I don't like the shading brushes in cilp and always go back to sai. Sai won't support any of the cilp studio features (sai 1), neither vector lines (are automatically rastered so you can't make adjustments) same with the masks etc. since you save it as psd

Ok so I guess its the girls who post all those "princesses" and "romance" webtoons. And its the boys who post all those "gates opened and monsters rushed out" and "how I leveled up in another world" webtoons. :D I am definitely not into girly webtoons - but your techniques and sharing your experience is very helpful to understand the process. Subscribed. I also don't see many artists who use the vector - interesting to observe, though you have such a deeply customized setup that I can barely recognize that its a cs paint!
